Step out the front door and your in the lively medina and yet at night it was very peaceful except for the call the prayer which you would hear all over Tangiers. Our room was great. She gave us a tour of the medina and - What a wonderful find! This hotel is right in the Medina with a great view from the rooftop patio. You're right in the heart of everything, and the building is beautifully decorated. The owner, Sue, really took the time to make us feel at home and comfortable. It's like a boutique hotel- rooms are all small and different, but with lots of charm. The breakfast especially was a treat- the service was great and the food was so good!   A wonderful family running the place. Talked for hours with the son although neither of us shared a common language.   While the Dar Bouanani was basic, it was clean, tasteful and well-located to the medina and beaches. A great place if you're on a budget and travelling with friends. Staff is friendly and helpful.   The rooms were extremely cheap, especially for what you get. You have your own kitchen, own balcony, lounge area, bedroom, and washroom.
