What makes this place so special?
1. The personnel in this hotel is just super friendly and very helpful, they made us feel like we were staying with friends. Richie, Frans, Gali & Anton explained us a lot about local way of life, took us to the most interesting places, cooked amazing food and were always up for a chat.

This is what I call paradise! There is probably everything perfect.
Oasis in the middle of the city. Friendly and helpfull staff as you can
imagine. Design which combine old parts from colonisation era and
typical local architecture. Large nice equiped rooms and big bathtub in
huge bathroom. Awesome pool open all the day and night. Great massages.

Very nice hotel, the staff is at the high level. There is a possibility to rent private car or tourist trip according your programme. Pleasantly warm water in the pool. The rooms are with the atmosphere and the bath on the open air, enough comfortable. There is a supermarket closely to hotel, one can buy fruits or water.

We just like about everything about this place. You don't feel like
staying in a hotel, but staying with a warm , friendly family. The
coffee and tea is all day for free. You don't have to make your
coffee and tea yourself, but they serve it for you for free. Rumah
Mertua has a beautifull garden. The food is excelent. De staff very warm
and friendly. They wil just do everything to make your stay comfortable.

This is a very nice, old and atmospheric hotel. Almost like walking in a museum, we liked it a lot. The breakfast is the best we ever had in a Indonesian hotel, with lots of Western and Asian food, including a "jamu" woman for traditional medicine.
Rooms are not as modern as in a new hotel, but they are kept clean and beds are comfortable.
Location it is about 1 km from railway station. Cheap Airport bus stops next door. There is a minimart nearby.

My luxuriously outfitted room had a superbly comfortable bed that I didn't want to get out off and a lovely modern decor. The bathroom was huge, clean and very nice.

The friendliness of the front door staff - very welcoming. The restaurant/coffee house staff were exceedingly accommodative to our requests. The interior decor through out the hotel are pleasing to the eyes with warm colours. The breakfast is excellent - we thought it was one of the best hotel breakfast that we've had. The nice smell as you enter the hotel.

Really nice stuff, good breakfast, their restaurant near by is very good and cheap. They have a small garden, which is so zen, comparing to busy jogja. If you're in a hurry take their driver to borobadur. To prambanan and/or jl malioboro take local bus-it's cheap and they tell you where to change bus.

We have travelled in Asia for 3 months and this place was the best we have staid. The house is homesh place with veru friendly atmosphere. The hoskeeper is very warm and helping person and Maria, the manager, speaks very good english, gives good advices and is a very positive person. Breakfast is good and afternoon tea/coffe is alwaus available.

This place is perfect for those looking for tranquility but still within walking distance from the main attractions in Yogya. The property is a refurbished Javanese nobleman's house so it's like staying at a Javanese castle! On top of that, the staff were very friendly and helpful.
