- Cottages are in nice wooded area.
- Cozy cabin sleeps up to 4 but probably better for 2 people due to luggage space needed.

We stayed just one night in very cozy and quaint cabin. As we were arriving the front desk staff (I think the owners) let us know that outside we could currently see the northern lights. From the field right there they were visible, they then suggested a place to drive to (about 10 minutes away) to escape the light pollution of Selfoss and see them even better. It was truly a highlight of the trip. When we returned, they had filled up one of the two hot tubs for us, which we relaxed in unde

Very tastefully decorated guesthouse with a cosy room (including a sink). The breakfast offered very good choice with good coffee and tasty Skyr. The bathroom was shared with one other room which wasn’t an issue – having a sink in the bedroom reduces the need for the bathroom. This is a fabulous guesthouse. The owner could not do enough for us including booking restaurants and giving advice about activities in the area. The guesthouse was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. We would highly recommend the Fagrahlid Guesthouse. Its proximity to the Eyjafjallajokull volcano and to the south coast sights is great.

My friend and I were upgraded as a very generous courtesy to a four-bedroom apartment with a private deck larger than my own home. It felt like a palace after the small rooms we'd been staying in for the previous week. The view was (is) beautiful, the apartment luxurious, and the staff professional and kind. On our final morning, we settled the account after breakfast and then stayed for as long as possible, reading and enjoying the quiet.

Fantastic place. Made you feel very welcome and nothing was too much for
them to help you with. The place is quite new - so all is clean and tidy
and of a good quality. The food was very good and Gunnar helps you plan
your day visiting local attractions, if thats what you want (we did!).

Very welcoming people.
They offer you a room in their own house. So you use their kitchen and facilities.
There is a nice dog, quiet most of the time .
The tenants are really nice and make you feel comfortable at home and also they like to talk and share experiences.
The house is clean and warm.
The breakfast is wonderful : They try to make you taste Icelandic food.
The bath tube is not available in winter.
A place I recommend.

Svein and his wife were excellent hosts, and very helpful with suggestions of places to go. The location is very good for day trips in several directions, and the rooms and other areas very pleasant. Would definitely go back there on a future trip to Iceland. -
Good location central to golden circle attractions & highland. Fantastic view.
Very warm and friendly landlords, lots of real insider tips. Breakfast with selfmade marmelade, pancakes etc.

The cabin was cozy and warm, made of wood, and had homemade touches like country style curtains and Christmas lights. The farmers that ran it were friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Best of all, the enclosed personal hot tub made it unbelievable! We enjoyed the peace and quiet and were able to cook for ourselves.
