This is the perfect location if you want to get out of the car and just walk Old Town. The swimming pool is a good place to hang out and read in the late afternoon/early evening. -

All of the art on the walls and the fabrics used throughout the
hotel. Great clean and contemporary feeling. I also liked that it was
pet-friendly, though the fee was pretty steep ($75). It should be
more like $35. -

Pretty much everything.
For a best western it has so much character, very nice design, nice to look at and rooms were spacious, clean and well maintained.
Nice pool area and fitness suite.
Lovely location in the Old Town, within a minutes walk of local restaurants and bars.
Easy to get to gaslight quarter on the trolley system.

The BW Hacienda is our main reason for visiting San Diego. Our return for a second vacation in SD this year was because we have found this central, traditional-style, good-value hotel in the Old Town. The staff is very helpful, and the convenient location for restaurants, shops, and local theatre is exceptional,.

The position of the hotel on the bay, and our bay view room had
excellent views which made for an interesting stay. Nice pool area, just
big enough, and towels were provided which is a nice touch. A shuttle
bus was available to take us to three different areas of the city and

1. the location is perfect! USS Midway museum is whithin 5 minutes walk distance, Seaport Villiage, 15 minutes of walk, other places of interests, e.g. Seaworld, Bolboa park and San Diego Zoo, are easy connected either by the free shuttle or the quick-'n'-easy public transportations.

Best value!!!! I loved having the restaurant on the same floor as our
room. We visited happy hour and drank their signature cocktails for only
$5 each! And not to mention wine Wednesday - half off bottles!!! So
happy! We also loved walking to little Italy for dinner. We had a
delicious dinner. Our cab ride to gaslamp was only $13 with tip. Perfect

I liked the fact that it had a balcony, the bathrooms were a good size, the tv was a nice flat screen, the AC was amazing, the bed was incredibly comfortable, the restaurant/bar was very nice and the staff was extremely friendly, and the location of the hotel itself is in a great spot.

Hotel accomodations and staff were outstanding overall. Free parking and
wifi were a huge plus!! Other hotels wanted $45 per day for parking and
$12 per day for internet! Hotel is conveniently located near Coronado,
the zoo, and SeaWorld. -

This hostel is absolutely amazing, and by far the best I've ever
visited. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, with helpful staff.
It's located in Little Italy, which is a brief 15 minute walk from
downtown and the Gaslamp Quarter. It's clean and has a very home
feeling to it. Every day the hostel offers activities, both daytime and
evening. Breakfast and dinner is complimentary. I was very comfortable
here, and sad to leave when my stay was over. Will definitely stay here
next time I visit

Lovely hotel-big room really quiet (don't hear other guests) &
hardly hear traffic. Super comfortable beds. Great choice for downtown
as away from the noise of Bars etc & traffic and close enough to
walk. We stayed 9 nites here in total -left another hotel & came
back here. Would absolutely recommend it & would def come back here

a pleasant surprise with all the character & artistic flair in the

I stayed here very recently for six nights while attending a conference downtown. Let me say it was totally worth the extra effort and cost in cabs to get downtown ( half hour by bus, 15 minutes 13 bucks by cab). The staff is friendly, courteous, and professional, from the cleaning staff, valet parking attendants, front desk folks and management. I get the feeling people love their jobs and want to deliver good service to the guests. The bar downstairs is awesome and deserves its own review. On

Very good value for the money, with simple breakfast provided (including waffles!). No elevator to second floor and no whirlpool at the small swimming pool. Just across the street from historic Old Town with shopping, restaurants and museums. Nice 20 minute walk or jog up Presidio Hill, also basketball court, are across the street also.

The rooms were really nice and the beds were super comfortable. Staff was very friendly. The on-site gym was under repair during my visit but they provided guest aces to the YMCA gym just around the corner. ironically that was one of the highlights of my trip as the Y had one of the best retired weight rooms I have seen in a long time. -

Complimentary drinks and snacks in bar until room ready. Complimentary breakfasts for two days. Problem with toilet on third day repaired straight away. Staff very courteous and friendly.
