Everything about the stay was amazing. The staff was wonderful!! They
were helpful from the get go. I had to have my cell phone fed ex to the
hostel & they took care of this. I had to leave a package at the
front desk for a friend to pick up and they took care of this. They
helped me figure out how to negavigate the city at the cheapest rate.

Check in was easy, staff was friendly. Corridor was noisy but quiet during "quiet time." Parking is on the street/metered, so that was a bit of a walk to find. The facility/room was very clean and beds pretty comfy. We had a private room w/two twin beds, tv, mini fridge. It was very small, but met our needs w/flying colors!

The studio was fantastic, with a kitchen full with pans, pots and utensils, and there is a fridge and electric stove. The place was clean and the staff very friendly. Gaslamp area central... Walking distance to restaurants and very easy trolley/bus stops to all the main attractions. Easy walk to the Harbour.
Extras very much appreciated... Drinks and food during the day, free laundry particularly appreciated, assistance from staff re attractions around town and good advice for eating venues.

The staff was the first impression of Gaslamp Plaza suites and was definitely a great one. Walking into the room I expected an average looking room with average looking furniture and found myself in a luxury suite. - Two separate rooms (in one suite) with two full baths and separated by a hallway;
- Older hotel but they use it well for a classic look and appeal;

- Close to everything on busy and popular 5th Ave.

Great hotel, great location, great, competent and helpfully staff... we really enjoyed our stay at this hote.... that much that we finally stayed one extra night... - Felt like royalty, the staff was very professional and helpful every where I went throughout the Hotel. - Excellent service, very polite staff and lovely hotel.

Loved our stay. We live only about 30 mins. north of San Diego and try to stay at the West Gate at least twice a year. It is like being on a vacation even though we are residents. Absolutely love staying downtown. -
Very close to the Gaslamp quarter, this means many dining/drinking opportunities.
