The hotel was nice and modern and we received a good welcome on our arrival. Good parking facilities and the bar was also a nice surprise! We walked into the town centre during the day (approx. 10 mins), however, a taxi was necessary during the evening. The location is excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Slaughters Country Inn and the tranquil surroundings of what is a stunning village. The staff were very welcoming, very friendly and attentive throughout the stay. Our room, in the main building, had beautiful views over the rear garden and ponds. After a late return @ the Bell Inn in the night , we had a knock @1000 am to see if We still want breakfast ( served till 1000 am)
It was much appreciated as otherwise We would have missed it. Staff were all very friendly & welcoming. The Room was cosy & clean & plenty of electric heater to keep the room warm as it is an old style "cottagy" room. Loads of character.

Excellent accommodation of a very high standard and very clean. We were fortunate to have the family room although there was only 2 of us. It was very roomy with 1 double, 2 single beds and 1 futon. A good size bathroom which included a large bath with a shower over it. Garden areas perfect for children.
