Freindly, welcoming and helpful staff. Delicious lemon cake as welcome in our room! Location was excellent, close to city walls, York Minster and shopping! Great that we could leave car parked there for our last day! Breakfast was perfect start to the day! Overall great place to stay! Would definately stay there again and recommend! -

Warm reception upon arrival and very welcoming hostess. Upgraded room without asking. Room four very comfortable and peaceful , as a result beware of oversleeeping. Heating temperature just right. loved the location, it really was a 10 minute walk down the river. We were three adults so the triple room was really good for us, it was clean, comfortable and quiet (we at a room at the back). Landlady was welcoming, helpful and informative and let me leave my car there till we left on the evening after we had checked out, Breakfast was good too. Good value for money.

I informed the owners of my arrival time which was after their cut off, but they were there to greet us with a map of the city and some extra local tips.(other reviews suggest being left stranded by the owners, I would suggest these people didn't inform them of late arrival!) The friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble. The

York around the place and Zoe was really helpful with advice on where to
