Located in a quiet location of the centre of Brighton, a 2-minute walk to the seafront, Abbey Lodge offers colourful rooms, free Wi-Fi and parking at an extra cost. The bedrooms are individually decorated with bright colours and each has a flat-screen TV. Tea/coffee making facilities and a hairdryer are provided. Brighton Rail Station and the Brighton Centre are less than 1 mile away from the Abbey. The South Downs, with walking and cycling routes, are only a 20-minute drive away.

The staff have been excellent, except when arriving when they were on a hurry and wanted us to sign and pay without giving us 2 minutes to read the small characters of the T&C's. But other than that, excellent. Flexible about having/not having breakfast until 23:00 the day before. I locked myself out, they had no spare key but remedied the situation swiftly with a good old ladder to get through the window. We could leave our bikes in their court, which was fantastic. I recommend this place.
kaikki arvostelut » The room was comfortable and spotless, and reasonable size. It was very quiet, the bed was comfortable. Abbey Lodge is perfectly positioned for a stroll into town or along the seafront. Bernadotte and her husband were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was exactly as and when requested. Comfy bed, nicely decorated & clean room, friendly staff and tasty breakfast. All in walking distance from the town centre. Would definitely stay again!. It is a small quest-house, family-owned, nice and clean, very close to the sea and all places you may wish to go to. Good service, very good breakfast. The Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good.The design of the room was better than usual. There is an easy to use, good shower. The staff were excellent - really friendly & accommodating. Really clean and excellent friendly staff. Friendly staff and free upgrade. It was friendly and welcoming. the bed was very comfortable. close to the pier. The room was very pretty; bed very comfortable; cheap room rate ... The chap running the guest house (Nathan) was excellent. Position Quietness. Great staff. Being pushed on arrival for signing and paying. Nothing to dislike, for us. Other guests might have wanted a tv in the room. nothing. The room is at the front near the front door so it was occasionally noisy but mostly quiet. The bed was a bit firm for me. Parking in Brighton is a nightmare (not the fault of Abbey Lodge). small bathroom in suite one. I didn't like the non-matching curtains; the shower wasn't very powerful; the taps dripped; the landlady hadn't made the bed when we got there having only arrived 5 mins before our arrival; she didn't live on-site; she wasn't there to see us off; Lidl complimentary water a little insulting!. Slightly over priced and in need of a facelift. Cleanness. It was almost difficult to breathe as the floor moquette is not really in healthy conditions. Courtesy. Room very tired and old. it was cold when I asked for the heating to be put on I could not find a member of staff.The room itself was very unclean just very poor all round.Was not expecting miracles for a Double room but for 76 pounds but clean and heat were what we expected.Wont be staying here again ever!!!!!.
