  My partner and I stayed at Grimsborgir for three nights and we absolutely loved it. In fact, we wished we could have stayed for longer. We arrived at the hotel on a Sunday afternoon to a warm welcome and were given a free upgrade to a four bedroom apartment (No. 15). The apartment had three big double bedrooms, a smaller bedroom, a big living / dining / kitchen room (with working fireplace), - My friend and I were upgraded as a very generous courtesy to a four-bedroom apartment with a private deck larger than my own home. It felt like a palace after the small rooms we'd been staying in for the previous week. The view was (is) beautiful, the apartment luxurious, and the staff professional and kind.   Excellent, I honestly could not recommend a better place to stay. Hotel Laekur provided an amazing experience with owners Imelia and Gunnar extremely helpful in planning day outings, with nothing being too much trouble for them.   The people working there were awesome. Super friendly and helpful and made us feel at home straight away. I also love the interior of the hostel. Everything was working perfectly..   The cottage was very spacious and comfortable. It was quite close to the geysers, Gullfoss waterfall and Thingvellir national park, and a couple of hours' drive from 'the volcano', also a glacier which we walked on. We were not fortunate enough to see the northern lights on our trip but the living room's see-through roof would have helped if they ... mitä ihmiset sanovat » had been "switched on" :) The hot tub was a great addition. The Wi-Fi didn't reach as far as our cottage, but it was a strong signal in reception and - The cabin was cozy and warm, made of wood, and had homemade touches like country style curtains and Christmas lights. The farmers that ran it were friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Best of all, the enclosed personal hot tub made it unbelievable! We enjoyed the peace and quiet and were able to cook for ourselves.
