We stayed on route to Italy for our honeymoon to get an early Channel Tunnel crossing. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, even gave us a map to the station. The nature around the castle is very well maintained. Being in the castle before/after hours allows a nice peaceful walk. There are a lot of things to do with small children, from watching/feeding wildlife to going to the maze and the playgrounds.
The rooms were bright yet warm (despite the very cold weather outside) and the furnishing is comfortable and tasteful.
