I could enjoy a cigarette in my room. Too many places have banned smoking and it's put me off staying away. ... lo que la gente dice » not totally quiet, you can hear your neighbors a bit, but it's absolutely lovely and I would not hesitate to stay there again and in fact plan to for a nice quiet couple of days get away. - This is a small, independently owned and run boutique hotel. The owner was always on hand but never intrusive. The whole experience could be decsribed as staying in a private home. We loved the log burning fires, LPs and record player, cheese , biscuits and other treats laid out in the evening for guests consumption. The breakfasts are pretty good too. We plan to return.

seem to be a friendly hotel in a nice spot by the harbour - Staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Room light and airy, very efficient heating, clean newly decorated. Tasty breakfast, good choice of food and beverages. Sunday night kitchen kept open for us to eat at a time that suited us.

Very modern accomodation and freindly staff. The reception gave me good advice on what to visit. The beds each have their individual light and plug so it's perfect not to disturb each other in the dorm. The sheets are on when you come in and you just have to undo the bed which is convenient. The location complemented with excellent price including breakfast and 24 hours availability on an individual to address any needs was the best part of the hotel. I got the river facing room, so getting to see ferry running across was awesome. The room was made every single day of my stay. The food was extremely good and I will definitely recommend it to others for a stay should you be in this town for few days.

After reading many negative comments we were apprehensive about what we would find. Initial reaction on entering reception was that it looked warm and friendly. We did not consider the place run down. decoration was not modern but very pleasing to the eye. Staff very friendly, good size restaurant and excellent bar. Room large and comfortable and we enjoyed the facility of the swimming pool. For a one night stay before embarking for France we found it excellent value for money.
