Overall an excellent hotel and experience. Basic rooms but very comfortable. THE cleanest rooms I have seen in my 30+ years of travelling (and that includes staying frequently in 5 star hotels). Very friendly owners and staff. Extremely nice breakfasts. Will be staying there again when I need to visit that part of the country.

Everything! Helpful and friendly hosts, quiet and spotlessly clean house, very good breakfasts...and just a couple minutes walk to the beach, a few minutes more into the town. Also extremely good value for money. I have stayed in many guest houses over the years and I would say The Lynwood is the very best of the best. I loved my stay there. -

This light and airy apartment was really clean and comfortable. There was a sense of generosity and being cared for; the complimentary toiletries, plenty of soft towels and a cream tea to welcome us. We arrived hours before the check in time but having access to the apartment early was no problem. It all felt very relaxed and easy.

Lovely room with sea views. Rather small but very modern and clean. Ship inn serves good food. Not the cheapest but very well cooked. Bus to Penzance stops right by the ship regularly and only takes a few minutes. Beach is pretty and picturesque

This was an excellent place to stay in Cornwall and really cheap for the standard of accommodation outside peak times. Very close to St Merryn and Padstow both of which have brilliant places to eat. The Villa has on site Londis convenient store which has everything you need. -

We only stayed 1 night, We had a superior room and were very pleased as it was very clean and spacious. The separate spacious bathroom with a roll top bath and views down across the sea made this a very enjoyabale stay. I originally picked the Hotel California because I liked the name, wanted to stay in Newquay and the price is a good value.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Interiors are beautiful. The dining room had lots of windows, so you can enjoy the scenery while dining. Beautiful view of the bay from the outside deck. The outdoor pool looked inviting, but the temperature was little to cool for me to try it.
If I get a chance to go back to the U.K., I will definitely stay at the Hotel California

Very clean comfortable rooms with a seaside boutique feel. friendly and helpful staff. Warm, homely atmosphere where even a lone traveller will feel included. Bar and restaurant (excellent menu) are stylish, seaside/rustic with a genuine 'local' feeling without the usual awkwardness of feeling you are intruding on the local's space! Service from staff was fantastic and make you feel like you were in a 5 star hotel. Had pool and hot tub all to ourselves. All rooms have fantastic views. Food in restaurant and breakfast was excellent. could not fault it. Was excellent value for money. Would have paid double and still of been happy.
