We were late checking in as we were travelling from Niagara enroute Chicago and had suddenly changed plans to make a stopover at Cedar Point. The front desk staff was available to service us. She even upgraded us to a 4 double bed room so that the kids won't have to sleep on a sofa cum bed. Recommended us to use the facilities in the hotel such as the heated pool and indoor/outdoor pools. As Cedar point would only open at 11 am, we were a bit late getting up and only reached the breakfast area .
all reviews » The location was perfect . It was a short distance fromCedar point, great dining, Seneca caverns, safari park and the beach. The hotel was clean with friendly staff and comfortable beds. I would bring my family there again. overall appearance was great, staff was very friendly, location to food and shopping was great and location to Cedar Point was also great. to summarize it, Great. Beds were great and hotel room was a nice size. Staff was wonderful and very welcoming which I think is very important. It was convenient and easy to access...associated with Comfort Inn next door for indoor/outdoor pool use. Staff very friendly and helpful. Every morning coffee and food available at 6a.m. The front desk was very responsive and prompt with service requests to our room. Very clean and beautiful hotel in a great locations near Cedarpoint. Rooms were large. Beds were comfy. There was a washer and dryer. Wonderful receptionist- nice welcome, nice rooms. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Clean, quite and a very helpful staff. Liked the complimentary breakfast. Breakfast, bed, room, service. Cleanliness and comfort. Staff friendly, clean. Newness. having a seating area with a couch access to the outdoor pool at the hotel next to Best Western. Rooms were larger than average. Mostly clean. location to cedar point and amenities good. the staff was friendly and our room was clean and comfortable. The location to Cedar Point isn't bad. beds, cleanliness. The location was perfect for our needs. Having to go to their co-property to use the pool. Even though it is in the same compound it is in the next building. nothing, very happy. Bathtub in room was pretty small and the "jacuzzi" was barely luke warm which I would have used had it been a typical hot tub temperature. Price was way too high for what hotel had!. Not pet friendly. Sink in the bathroom did not drain properly. Breakfast was aweful. They were out of anything healthy ( fruit, yogurt, skim milk) the choices were biscuits and gravey, rubber egg patties and sticky, sweet Danishes and no brand cereal. Cheap and aweful- I would never feed my family that food! I was willing to pay a bitter for the room because it included breakfast and I had to go and feed my family off property. Housekeeping only replaced the towels, didn't make the beds/take out the trash. We put a do not disturb sign on our door for housekeeping. They came into our room anyway, only took the dirty towels, did not replace with clean towels, and only emptied some of the trash cans. Having to walk next door for the pool and hot tub. Nothing. Wasn't pet friendly and the front desk guy seemed to need a little assistance at breakfast. Was not aware the the outside pool and hot tub was next door at the Comfort Inn. If I would of known this I would of made reservations there. Also the dining was over there too. Nothing available at Best Western but a place to sleep. Also asked for a rollaway bed.....did not provide these. Daughters boyfriend had to sleep on couch that was not a sleeper couch. Paid a lot of money for nothing. Would not stay there again..False advertising on Website. Also at the breakfast..ran out of coffee. Said had a pool and hot tub when I all actuality it was at the hotel next door and even then the hot tib was broke. Drunks adults in the outside pool and the indoors pool was just way to crowded. They should state that these facilities are not in the best western hotel. Room wasn't stocked with towels or necessary items for showering cobwebs in the corners of ceiling breakfast was not great and food was not kept replenished workout room was old, mouldy smelling and very limited equipment. Small staff unable to run breakfast. no food or coffee available for long periods. carpets were filthy. smokers gathered outside front door forcing families to walk through the cancer cloud. there was a centipede in our room, (scary). The "pool" is in the next hotel over... So is the bar. It's very over priced....but you pay for the location. no thermostat on air conditioning, big problem not to have that in 2013 paying 200/night. In the therapy pool room there are windows that look into an electrical room. There were 2 older men watching us through those windows. It was very uncomfortable so we left. I had booked this hotel on line but when we went to check in they had no record of my reservation. We were able to get a room, however it was a room with 2 double beds instead of the king I had reserved. Very uncomfortable beds. Somewhat run down hotel, needs some tlc.
