I am an experienced backpack traveler, but generally in Europe, so I'm not familiar with US hostels standards; jazz o.t. park was totally ok for me; the price is high - never paid that much for a hostel - but it should be compared with NY prices, so if you do it you understand it is far; stayed in a 2 bed dorm for 3 nights; staff was nice, there was a simple breakfast served so you could grab some food in the mornings while planning your day; there are some activities organized for every evenin.

People from all over the world to have a nice chat, even prom our own country. quiet place. the staff, the location, the decoration of the bedrooms, the 2 large spaces: 1) to have breakfast, 2) to watch tv or check emails. The cleanliness of the hostel was very good. There was a wide range of food for breakfast. All of the staff were very helpful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and quiet. It's located right next to a train stop. Event's that were organized by the hostel every evening. The location and price was PERFECT!!. Location, price, staff. Location and staffs. There was a fun comedy show by some of the area's struggling comedians on Sunday night in the basement. The staff was friendly, the clientele was young and there was a lounge with free breakfast. pizza mondays, mirror, table, hooks and lockers in the room, dorms for 2 with towels. far from downtown but near the central park, wish we had more time to explore... Rooms were cleaned every day. I had a room right opposite the bathroom. Free breakfast and evening activities available. The staff in there are very nice，such as Jose and Stephanie,there were enthusiasm and resiponsibilty！. smiley faces, charming people, cozy atmosphere, everyone helping you, much informations,. Would not stay in the hostel if looking for comfort, or book a private room; or stay there if having sleeping disorder - can be quite noisy; but well - like in every hostel.. Too far from Downtown, too many Stations to get there. With a tight schedule, this could be a problem. If you planned more than 3 days in the City, this is not a problem. the building is too old and the owners don't invest money in it. they must to hire more people to clean the building, the bathrooms were not always cleaned. But I know I was in New York, the most expensive city in the world!!. Lack of access to a kitchen and refrigerator. Hard bed mattress. The beds were very uncomfortable. I did not get much rest each night. (I think the mattresses were probably too hard.). thin mattress, only one sink at the girls bathroom. Full of stairs and slopes with no elevator. It is not suitable for those with crutches or have a mobility disability. Free breakfast was lacking and the 24/7 reception desk was left unmanned frequently. No where to relax comfortably. maybe not very clean. the matresses are bad,. Needed cleaning, staff need to be knowledgeable and be receptionists!. 1, Price 2, Lack of free wi-fi. You have to stay on the hall to have internet, rest room we ré not clean,. There is no kitchen, laundry facility and the beds made big noise. At first the reseptionist couldn't find my reservation. I was disappointed and a little bit nervous. Horrible facilities, slamming doors, and disgusting breakfast. Will never recommend this hostel. ・When I got to the hostel, nobody was at the front desk, so I had to wait for almost 40min to check-in. ・Surprisingly wifi is not for free at this moment in this century!!. Overheated rooms, not hot water every day, reception lady did not tell me about free breakfast and free wifi, in a middle of my stay I was forced to check out and check in again to the same room with bigger charge of money. Toilet stall didn't lock. The room was dusty. A girl in my room had left her empty suitcase in the room during her stay and it had gone missing. The staff were very unhelpful to her and even said to me that they thought she was crazy. The next day they found out that the cleaner had taken it out thinking it was trash because it was empty. The staff that checked me was disrespectful Room wasn't clean. Pillow cover was missing. Someone brought it to me after two hours while I slept. Late check out fee? Fact is it, this is too disrespectful, a good business doesn't impose stuff like that on valued customers. Bathroom? Dirty! I've been to 28 countries, I know what I'm saying. all else. Bathrooms are atrocious, beds are enough to give you lasting spine damage, unclean and uotdated dump. Cafe style kitchen, not suitable for cooking your own food!. It was dirty. Our room was infected with fleas so we had to leave the room in the middle of the night. The place smells, people walk around screaming in the hallways all times of the night. Everything. Staffs were so unkind. Especially a woman at night time. Once, housekeeper took my towel, so I complained this and then the staff laugh. Didnt aplogize at all. If someone is considering about choosing this hostel, never go. Worst Hostel I have ever stayed in.
