Spacious room with all the extras one needs.

The staff serving the complimentary breakfast was rude and arrogant. When I wanted to take a single bagel back to my room, I was told it would cost $5!!!!

We arrived from Boston in a snow storm and the staff had our room ready early. (I had requested this in advance, but they were accomodating and honored our request nicely.)

just about everything is wonderful at the Blakely. The location is fabulous close to theatre, dining, shopping, Central Park, etc. The rooms are spacious with well appointed furnishings and the suites are luxurious. The beds are the most comfortable I ever slept in and bathrooms well lit and extremely clean. I love the kitchen area with Keurig coffee and tea, refrigerators, microwave oven, dishes and more. There are not enough complimentary adjectives to write about the accomodating and helpful staff who bend over backward to honor your every need and the accomdations of this wonderful hotel in the heart of Manhattan.

I cannot think of anything that is a negative about the Blakely.

The quaintness of the hotel. Breakfast included was a plus. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. The fact we were upgraded to a suite was very nice surprise.

The pillows were way too soft. Need to have more substance.

The location was perfect! We were central to everything we were doing. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was well appointed and comfortable for 2. I would stay there again.

An oasis in te city. Was traveling on business and my husband joined me for the night. While I headed off to a trade show he took our luggage to the hotel. His text said it all. &Quot;This place is great!" I was not disappointed when I joined him later that night. Everything from staff to room was wonderful. Location too. I will definitely be back.

The continental breakfast was just ok. The staff in the restaurant were not part

We've stayed here before and liked the location. The staff is friendly and, the rooms are clean, very roomy and comfortable. This is the second time staying here and we will be back again.

We were traveling with our 5 year old granddaughter. I would say this is a kid friendly hotel & since most kids like apple juice, we were surprised when at breakfast we were told they didn't have any. Also, difficult to get a taxi. This has not been our experience at other hotels we have stayed at in the city

Bedroom size is very good, and very confortable.

Breakfast , we paid extra at the time of the booking to find out breakfast was a courtesy to all guests.... Felt a bit cheated on that. Also breakfast wasn't that great very basic, specially considerinf I've paid extra for it.

Location was ideal. Most major attractions within walking distance. Subway station close by. Staff were polite and friendly. Warm cosy traditional New York hotel.

Some areas in bathroom we're looking a bit tired. Being in busy part of city would benefit from triple glazing.

Breakfast very good , the proximity to everything excellent. Close to subway , Central Park etc. Great beds and loved the small kitchen facilities in the room. You don't miss for anything in the room. Fantastic for the money

The staff was helpful. The location was excellent. It was near the Macy's Thanksgiving parade, the teatre district and Radio City Musci Hall. It had easy access to dining, shopping and the subway. The staff was friendly, and the hotel was very clean. The bathroom was very nice and the shower was spacious and the water pressure was very good.

The room was small, but very clean and comfortable.

Excellent stay. Staff was very courteous and responsive. Very clean room.

One day we came down for breakfast at 10:20 (breakfast was until 10:30) and before we were finished they removed the food. My assumption was that if we arrived before 10:30 we would have service until we were finished. The only glitch in our otherwise exceptional stay.

We really enjoyed our weekend stay at the Blakely. The staff was very polite and helpful. We were upgraded to a larger room when we arrived which we loved. The location is wonderful. We were able to walk everywhere. We would definitely stay there again.

The bathroom lighting is very poor for putting on makeup. There was a makeup mirror but even the lighting on that was very dim. They definitely need to do something about this since it was next to impossible to apply even the basics.

The location of this hotel is great. Subway two minutes away, Central Park, museums, shops and Times Square only a few minutes' walk. Room is comfortably furnished and well equpped with a good bathroom. Concierge was very helpful with our luggage and maintenance man was very correct and efficient. It is useful there is a Hertz hire car office literally next door if you want to get a car to go out of the city and have a lot of luggage.

The price is very high for quite a small room and the breakfast is OK but minimal. No bathtub only a shower. Plumbing system a bit dodgy ie the loo did not flush properly and air conditioning was noisy.

The employees were the most helpful I have ever encountered. They helped make it less stressful and went out of their way with suggestions , directions, etc.

Lights in bathroom are too dim to make up. Even with the lighted magnifying mirror. Lighter walls would make it more cheerful.

40 watt bulb too dim for reading and turning on ceiling light makes it worse-also why not save money by using cfl or led lights. Suggest have recycle bin in rm or nearby

I find the Blakely to be centrally located for all activities in Manhattan. The staff is friendly and accomodating. The rooms are spacious enough. I love the area in the room where you have Emeril Kerik coffee and the Kerik coffee maker. there is also a microwave, a small refrigerator, sink and utensils for morning coffee if you want to sleep late and not take advantage of the complimentary breakfast. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms spotless where the magnifying mirror on the wall is face level and I do not have to stand on my tippytoes to see when putting on makeup (I am only 5 ft) . The lighting in the bathroom is bright which also aids you in applying make up. The water pressure in the shower is good. You also get the New York Times delivered to you in the morning which is a nice amenity. all in all my experience at the Blakely was wonderful and I will happily stay there again.

The location perfect for all to do in NY. The Concierge were excellent-helpful and friendly.

The very old noisy air conditioning.- very difficult to sleep with that noise going on- to hot if not on even at low. Also the front desk staff very poor. No warmth or friendliness in their manner( not just one staff member) and they are the Window to the business!!! If it wasn't for the concierge there would be a very poor entrance.

The excellent staff who were consistently friendly & helpful. Clean Hotel with Good Breakfast. Management did their best to cope with room issues but better window insulation on rear rooms is urgently needed. This includes our upgrade room (given free) when we complained about lack of hanger space in original room.

Room at rear of hotel facing onto Services Area for NYC Hilton resulting in non-stop (and I mean THROUGHOUT the night) very loud noise from service transport including reversing trucks with warning horns. Room had very poor window insulation so noise unbearable. Hotel issued us with ear plugs for final night. Lack of adequate wardrobe space. Only room for 6 clothes hangers!

The location was excellent; a close walk to nearly all of the popular sites in New York. Also, the beds in our room were absolutely the most comfortable of any hotel beds I've slept in.

It was a little spendy, but not much more than other hotels.

Perfect location, spacious and quiet room, extremely clean , nice bathroom, complimentary breakfast although quite simple, and extremely helpful staff especially the concierge. Unfortunately, I remember only 2 names Edwin and Pedro (or Jose). In any case all of them were courteous and most helpful.

We loved the location near times square and Central Park, the facilities provided by management, the day of the check out they offer us to keep our luggage and that was so convenient because we were leaving New York late so we didn't have to carry them with us. Great experience

I liked it's central location. It was large and clean and offered free WiFi.

Did not like the fact that you had to pay for everything...candy, snacks, in addition to drinks. Poor coffee selection; creamers were sour because they were left out of the fridge. The television had poor reception quality for the cost of the hotel. Noisy air conditioner.

I like the small hotel feel of The Blakely. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Rooms are surprisingly large for New York and well appointed. Location is perfect.
