Tasteful and hip hotel in a good location right next to Central Park and directly across from the subway. Very friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere - more like staying in an apartment than a hotel. Great for lone female travellers.

Would really like a coffee/tea-making facilites in the room.

Been coming to the Thompson 6 since 2011. I simply love it. It is very neat & clean. Respectful staff & the location is great.

Everything was perfect, but the best of all things was that the employees treat me as a person of their family. The night before the marathon they gave me a bag with fruits and water, with a hadwrote card wishing me luck. On the very day they prepares a breackfast at 5 AM for the runners. We felt their proud to belong to that process. I just thank all of them to transform my stay in one of pleasant stays in NY.

There should be the possibility of having non-smoking rooms. Very annoying smell when entering the room.

This was our first trip to the USA and New York.The staff were friendly and very efficient. Started with Peter who radioed our arrival to reception even before we were out of the taxi. Together with Caesar on the door they were always there with advise on destinations and restaurants, and treated us like we were family. The Girls on reception ( very sorry but I lost the card with your names but you know who you are) who had us booked in 5 minutes after arriving and were always smiling and always greeted us on entering. Room was on the 8th floor at the rear and was fairly quiet. The room was small but very comfortable and always clean. There was enough room to open suitcases and had hanging space. A/c unit worked well and there was plenty of hot water for the shower and bath.The mini bar was very well stocked, even had an adapter for electrical items. Would definetly stay again and book with letsbookhotel.com as we got a good deal on the rate compared with prices quoted in other reviews and felt it was good value. Location was perfect, so close to Central Park, train staion and buses. Loved it and the people!!

Only minor things- a handrail or ramp at the entry steps for impaired people would be nice. The colour scheme was heavy and could be brighter. Would have liked tea and coffee maker in the room but conceed the layout of the room would make this difficult.

I love the Sushi Restaurant and the Roof Top Bar and the ground floor bar.

This is my 4th stay there and it would be a nice perk to receive some sort of incentive/upgrade reward.

Hotel colors were DARK, hallways, elevator. That was creepy. The room was small. Lighting in the hallways, bedroom and bathroom was poor.

Everything about 6 Columbus was great. Starbucks on one side, bar on the other and Whole Foods and the subway across the street. The staff was outstanding and friendly.

The staff were extremely friendly & helpful, particularly Peter who was on the door when I returned to the hotel with my family (having already checked out a few hours earlier) stating I realised I had inadvertently thrown my tiny gold stud earings into the bin in our room along with some other rubbish. Unfortunately the room had already been cleaned but Peter & the rest of the staff arranged for the 'trash' to be checked & they managed to find them. Wow!

Great location next to the south end of Central Park and very friendly staff. Not overpriced. Rooms are Euro-small, but very clean and all one needs to explore nyc.

The location of this hotel is ideal for visiting the theater or sites on the west side of Manhattan. The rooms are average size by NYC standards but they are comfortable.

The lack of free WiFi is the worst problem with this hotel. It's definitely designed for the business traveler with an expense account since every extra will add cost. I only stay if the rate is $15 cheaper then then other hotel rates.

Excellent location, good size room (21). Friendly and helpful staff. There is a safe in the room and that was great! Very soft and clean bed linen. Was changed every day, though I think that it's a bit unfriendly to the environment.

My room didn't have blinds, only curtains, so people on the street could look at me at any time if they wanted to. The sleepers and shower caps were not provided. Apparently I was told that you have to ask for it, but I didn't bother, I had my own with me. Also I didn't like the furniture, very uncomfortable doors with slippery handles. You can break your nail trying to open those doors. And a VERY heavy armchairs!

It's a very nice hotel, friendly staff and a good location as well. Extremely close to Central Park and the best places are easy to go, metro are just in the front with necessary. The rooms are quite small but beds are really comfortable and the bathroom has a really good shower.

Even though the rooms were not large the queen size was modern and clean and felt luxurious. I had the superior queen. The bathroom was really nice and even heated floor tiles. The whole place was very quite and a beautiful boutique hotel just across the road from Time Warner centre which has downstairs the arrest whole foods I had ever seen. Of course Central Park just a bit further. Great place

If I was being picky it was a shame no tea/ coffee facility even though the room has a fridge. Doors were heavy so u always heard a bang from other rooms. Also bathroom mirror is set to high if you are not tall. But just being picky. Oh and you have to pay $15 for 24hr wifi.

The location is perfect - right at Columbus Circle: 10 min walk to Times Sq but a residential area so no tourist crowds; lots of cafes and restaurants within a block or two; two subway lines just across the street from the hotel; extremely friendly and helpful staff -- they took time to know us and remember what we were there for and asked how things were going; rooms are large by NY standards and very well-appointed. The room was also very quiet -- no outside stree noise and no internal noise either -- only 9 rooms on a floor. Bed was very comfortable, and A/C or heat is quiet and thermostat-controlled - like at home.

There was absolutely nothing we didn't like.

Rooms were small and very dark. Windows looked out to a neighboring brick wall only a few feet wide. Not much light came through window. Light fixtures were not bright. We switched rooms, but not much better.

Hotel is in a great location, right on the south corner of Central Park. Staff were friendly and accomodating. Great breakfast, served in a bento box (they have a sushi restaurant at the hotel!). Rooftop bar is very cool and has a chilled out atmosphere (not overpriced either).

Room was a standard and was quite small, but I think that is just the way it goes in NYC. It was small but well thought out, with underbed storage should you have been staying longer than a couple of nights. Bathroom was very nice, loved the blue files and the round mirror / light.

rooms are quite small for the price. the room's doors are very heavy, and the locks make a terrible noise everytime they close, so there's a lot of noise during the night and early morning when people get back to their room

Fantastic location- you are in the buzz of midtown Manhattan. Staff were very friendly on check-in and check-out. Walking distance from some great hot spots and nightlife!
