The hotel location is 5 minutes walk from time square. The staff members are very nice and helpfull. The room was clean, very comfortable and the bed is unforgettable :). We staied 7 nights in the hotel and we enjoined every minute. Special thanks to Ruby from the reception that was really nice to talk with and help us a lot in every quastion. It was an excellent value. Very boutique-y and we loved the truly modern feel. We also had to check out early bc of unforeseen circumstances which required us to leave the city early. They were so helpful! And didn't charge us for the upcoming nights stay! That was a huge plus. We were very grateful!.
all reviews » I cannot say enough good things about the moderne. Awesome staff, surprisingly big room by NYC standards, central location, beautiful design. Can't really ask for more at this price point. I stayed a full 7 nights and was comfortable the whole time. Desk and wifi in room were clutch. It was very near to Central Park and Times Square. Easy access to subway stations. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lounge with complementary tea and coffee day and night. Being just off Broadway made it surprisingly quiet during the evenings. Highly recommended!. Our room was upgraded free of charge. They had a coffee room which was free and open 24hr offering coffee,tea and juice. The internal design of the whole hotel was fabulous esp. the coffee room with the 2 silver arm chairs. Staff was helpful. the location was great, the staff was really friendly and helpful. The room was a bit small but well designed and clean. overall experience was nice and I would go back to that hotel if I had the chance. We had some truly excellent staff members end then some mediocre staff at different times. And like all places, not everyone is perfect and I understand that. Upon check in, We couldn't get our bags that we checked in 5 hours earlier, and they had to call someone off break to help. It was a Skeleton crew at 7 pm!. Nothing. Nothing. Will definitely return there. There was only one elevator in the hotel. the only minor issue was the lack of isolation between the room and the hallway which meant we could hear almost every noise. considering there was only 5 rooms on our level, it didnt matter much though. The room was too small for its cost. There is no window in the room I can say, because the only window was covered by roller blind and the room looks to the wall of the next building exactly. No restaurant in the hotel. Room was a little dark. Easy to overlseep... No coffee-facilities in the room (what if the only coffee machine in the hotel is broken?...); traffic noise (just a little bit) in the room above the street. We stayed 2 nights and our room is not cleaned up. Rooms need some work. Water spills out of showers because there isn't a door. Door to my room was crooked, so hallway light spilled into room at night when I was trying to sleep. Room shades wouldn't come up because the room faced a brick wall, making the room very dark during the day. The entry card didn't work on occasions and I had to go downstairs to have it fixed at least 3 times. The AC in the room is very noisy so had to turn it off during the night. Noise from neighboring establishments and construction - needs to soundproof the rooms as the noise can be heard. Lack of sheer curtains to block people from viewing inside. There are only thick drapes. No counter Space in bathroom. The room heater too noisy. Milk for hot drinks was sour. "Breakfast". At my second night the room nearby 505 someone get into the room and steal. It was abig mass and I dont fell safety at night. Nothing. The TV picture and volume were not stable. Also did not have a guide feature or HD. The heating/cooling unit was very loud and did a poor job of regulating the temperature in the room. It also leaked a little and make the carpet wet. The mattress and pillows were too soft. No breakfast service no gym service, while it is mentioned on the website. i really recomended you dont ho there. its really bad hotel with anything, bad service, you cannot find anything to eat or drink its really poor place, and you pay a lot of money for this really bad. Well, where to start... windowless, tiny rooms, poor lighting, terrible smell of cheap air freshener, building in a dismal condition, dirty surroundings with road works in progress, etc etc. The rooms look much better on pictures than they are in reality. No hairdryer in the room. Four stars? More like two. We had to check out after first night and look for alternatives. Don't repeat my mistake, your trip can be ruined. Overpriced and had tiny rooms. Unhygienic. Overcharged us. Would not return funds. Most of the staff were unhelpful. The supervisor and general manager were unprofessional and rude. They still have not reimbursed the full overcharged amount. They offered a change of rooms which were also dirty. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I dnt know how this hotel got 4 stars..i left the first night..i dnt know how u score it 8,2 And it is v expensive to what it is,i hot the same rate at parker meridien wish is a realy 4 star hotel or a real hotel!.
