We came to the hotel not knowing what to expect. We got the standard suite with spa bath for $285 a night (which was a bargain compared to the surrounding hotels mid November). The room was huge with such a beatiful view to the pool and the beach. Everyone was so friendly. My wife now calls it "our home".

Probably needs a little remodeling.. But that's about it :)

Loved the decor, the light airy space that has been created throughout the ground floor. The pool area was lovely with comfortable and stylish seating. Restaurant was good for burgers, pasta etc and not too expensive. Our room (410) was spacious and very trendy with views over the pool and South Beach beyond. Location was excellent, right around the corner from Lincoln Mall - a pedestrianized area running from Collins Ave, full of quirky bars, restaurants and shops. Reminded me of Las Ramblas in Barcelona. Their customer service is very good, very helpful staff all round.

There were 4 of us in suite 410 but the doors to the bedroom were glass and had no curtain or blind for privacy. The bathroom had no locks but with 2 doors it could be a little tricky unless you're good at whistling. The sofabed was dreadful - although the mattress looked deep, you could feel the metal support bars below it. I booked an early check in (6 months in advance) and a late check out. I got neither.

The decor of the hotel made you feel like you were in an art gallery. The service was great all the way from the valet to the general manager. Perfect location close to everything and my favorite part is the beach front location with lounges on the beach with service. Johnny our server on the beach was great! Definitely recommend this hotel and would return!

Service by the pool area was non existent one late afternoon last week. Vacuum cleaner left in hallway early evening til next morning

- Unique, art inspired interior - Very comfortable rooms - Got two complimentary upgrades to suites (would've been nice if the third room i'd booked had an upgrade too...) - Willingness of managers to give dining recommendations in the location - General friendliness of staff. Mickey, one of the pool bar staff, chatted to us about coming from Serbia and his experiences of living in New York and Miami

- Not much. The nightly rate at the weekend was inflated because of the Hip Hop festival overthe Memorial weekend but guess this was the same for all of the hotels down in the SoBe area

Staff were extremely helpful esp concierge and front desk .Went out of their way to sort out alternate flights when the us was recently snowbound.Very convenient located with regard to conference centre and opens directly onto the beach.

The location.

The breakfast was terrible, the room and the hotel as a whole did not value the rate they charged. For the same price you can stay in a much better hotel nearby. It is a hotel to charge at most half of the price, something around us$ 200 per night.

Good location, understanding staff.

1. The condition of the rooms and public areas are very bad. Attention to details is poor. 2. Dirt, tear and wear are seen everywhere: broken drawer that falls, an elevator, that doesnt work half a time, table lamp with visual defects because its too old. 3. The level of breakfast serving: plastic glasses and a fruit fly in a juice jar. 4. This all for 635$ + taxes/night!
