a very friendly and welcoming hotel. we used the hotel for our annual trip to ascot races. we enjoyed the hospitality and hote so much that we have booked again for next year. nice friendly hotel,nice room,staff helpful,would stay there again. Clean, good food and good value for money. staff very friendly,good breakfast.Very friendly staff. The service when we arrived, which was late but the proprietors made sure we were catered for. The service at breakfast was excellent.

Insufficient hot water in the morning.Did try to use the bar in the evening, but there were no staff to serve us. This wasn't an issue though. Parking at rear of hotel. no clear instructions on how to use the heater/cooler system. Fire doors were wedged open black mark! Corridor carpets not very cleanand paint stained. Undergoing current renovations to corridors etc. breakfast too early. Quality of the breakfast was poor. Sausages etc rather flabby and low quality. No power socket provided for the desk!. Unfortunately this visit, I had no hot water in the morning. The room was fine, but the bedspreads and chairs looked dirty. I was cold during the night my bedding was inadequate. WI-Fi coverage is patchy (but free). 10% service charge on Evening meal-did not appear to be discrectionary,and I will not pay that especially on a menue that is a bit overpriced!. Cold bathroom with no heater and draft, even though double glazed. Intermittent Wi-Fi. One of the reasons to select this hotel was the wifi connection, however this did not really work. It was in a middle of a refurbishing phase. Acceptable, but everything was a bit mixed up. Price was high taking into account the situation. Smell of cooking in my room all evening. The room was very noisy, basic and not very clean.
