The room was spacious and airy. Good size bed and plenty of spare pillows. comfortable seating area and good size television. Excellent food and choice of restaurants with a lovely buffet breakfast. Everything was freshly cooked. A very good weekend deal that we rebook at anytime. Staff very helpful. Food included in the Summer Indulgence package in the Turners Grill was excellent. Would definately recommend this hotel.

Not sure why the hotel don't promote their pool area more, even on their own website (and in the hotel itself) the facility is hard to find.Clean comfortable rooms which were able to accomodate a family of 5 (3 adults and 2 children due to a Grandparent travelling with us. The staff obliged in opening the adjoining doors to the rooms and the accomodation was comfortable and enjoyed by all. we came for our first time to copthorne for valentines evening and had the most wonderful meal are thanks for a wonderful valentines and i was not on one knee on this occasion maybe next time. It was a good 4* hotel which was excellent value for money at the price of £49 for a double room. The price achieved means I will look again to your service for future hotels. Nothing to complain about, would just like to comment that its no big deal to pay for a hotel car park, even with hotels who have onsite carparks I think you would find the carpark is factored into the cost of the room.... no heater outside for us smokers a lot of people still smoke and no heater might help them keep coming back. The only criticism was that we had to wait quite a long while for some elements of the cooked breakfast, i.e., they ran out of fried eggs, sausages, etc and it seemed to take a while to get things out. On the other hand, the breakfast range was excellent and again presented excellent value at £10 per head. Service of waiters etc was also very polite and accommodating. we were in a club room but unable to check out at club room time of 2.00 and had to check out at 12.00. Having to pay for parking. underground car park should have warning notice as roof very low for hatchbacks......Room service food not very good. There aren't many local ameneties and at time the queues for the main desk were long.Bathroom floor flooded when both myself and then my husband used the shower - had to use all the towels to mop up the floor. Very slippery to stand on and worried about falling. I have worked in a hotel myself and found it difficult to getthe staff to smile. They were very polite but once a transaction was finished and you pass a staff member, especially at breakfast, there was no smile or aknowedgment to make you feel welcome.bit far from anything since we didn't have a car. Internet service should be free ( wifi ). Breakfast service was poor. loud party ground floor middle of night possible function. It was far too hot and noisy if you left the window open. Bathroom was dated and in need of refurbishing. Pink shower curtain with yellow bathroom trims, a sample of make do approach. Bathroom door and side of bath all in need of repair, but was adequate. leisure facilities could have been better. The staff in fact, One housekeeping lady knocked once and was on her way already. I was in a shower 45 minutes before checkout, and she asked what time I was checking out. It was rude enough for staff budging in like that. I am sure everyone likes their own privacy.The car park, although convenient, cost guests an extra £6 per night. On some deals, breakfast cost £15 per head extra. Main restaurant menu rather limited in choice and on the pricey side for what was on offer. We understand it was Christmas and it was quiet but selfishly we would have loved to have gone to the bar, but realise this could be an unecomical ask!. There was not enough milk for tea and coffee. Or tea and coffee. Would have been nice to get a bottle of mineral water as well. A bit cheeky charging for Car park as you are paying to stay at the hotel.Dinner was very average. 5/10.
