What people say
The feeling of being "at home" was the most striking element during our stay - not easy to achieve in a place you've never seen before. Archie and Judy are lovely people and great hosts who made us welcome from the first moment we walked through the door till we left after a superb two-night stay. The house is light and so tastefully decorated with an eclectic range of art works throughout. The rooms were attractive, well appointed and comfortable. Breakfasts were excellent and my wife parti. all reviews »
The owners were very nice and welcoming. You could have a huge traditional breakfast or help yourself from bowls of fresh berries, yoghurt, cereal, fruit juice, etc. I liked the nearby scenic walks. The red-squirrel feeders are well used as it is a red squirrel 'hot-spot' and you can stand behind a wooden screen to watch them. It feels very quiet and remote but is just a two minute walk from a very nice pub/restaurant. It is also only a short drive to Fort William if you want to visit a more to.
We were a mature couple plus friend. Rooms suited us well for our one night and wish we'd had another. Archie and Judy have put lots of thought into the design of their b&b and are so welcoming. Our friend had an accident while in Fort William that evening which meant 3 hours in A&E. Archie was most sympathetic when we got back and gave us lots of practical support during the evening. A beautiful breakfast next morning too.
We only stayed for a night and wished we stayed for more. Judith and Archie were very friendly and welcoming, it felt like staying with relatives. The room was lovely and very comfortable, breakfast was really good and abundant. There's a restaurant near the guest house which is very good and the inchree falls, just 5 minutes away are a must with a lovely walk. We highly recommend Glendevin to all!.
Everything. The owners were very nice people. It's situated between Glencoe and Fort William, two big tourist attractions within short driving distances, but without the hefty hotel price. Our room was small, but there's a big closet. The house was modern and clean and the breakfast was delicious. Wish we could stay longer.
Room was a good size. Bed very comfortable. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast excellent. Chose it because it was dog-friendly and in good location. Owners extremely dog-friendly. And no supplement for dog, unlike B&B in Kelso, Borders, which sprang a surprise £10 charge for dog which was not mentioned when we booked.
Owners were lovely. I booked last minute and they sent detailed directions on how to find the property. Within walking distance to two pub/restaurants. Very quiet woodland setting. House was immaculate. Excellent breakfast. Onich/Inchery is a great stopover between Fort William and heading back down to Glasgow.
Both hosts went out their way to provide an excellent service. Lovely home which was welcoming, clean and spacious. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of choice. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would recommend to all. Great value for money too.
Great mattress and warm, welcoming staff. Soya milk was got at my
request which was appreciated. Lovely accomodation with quality
furnishings - would recommend, usually do not spend as much staying
in B&B.
Excellent breakfast, nice and helpful hosts. Nice dining within 5 minutes walk. Outstanding views for Ben Nevis, goodstarting point for hiking. Nearby Caledonian canal with Neptune Staircase worth to see.
The nice welcome by Archie, the owner. Tea and football, great!
Good matresses! (not obvious in British B&Bs or hotels)
The surroundings (quiet, close to a beautiful hiking path)
good breakfast!.
I loved this place! The owner is very hearty! we invited to take tea in the living room and talked with them. a great room. A exectionnel breakfast! Thank you both! I spent a memorable stay!.
Great location run by a great couple. Breakfast was fantastic! Catered to our family, with three small children. Definitely recommend this place and make sure you hike to the waterfalls.
It's a perfect b&b, the room is very clean and comfortable and I am really fond of it's interior design. Plus, you can have a nice view of the waterfall nearby and red squirrels!.
The owners were very welcoming, friendly and easy to talk too. We were invited to join them for tea in their living room which was warm and cosy. Will stay again. thank you both.
the same feeling as being at home. The house is lovely and the owners really know how to let you feel comfortable.
The perfect stop between Oban and eilean Donan Castle.
The owners treated us like family. Nothing was too much trouble and it was nice to sit in the living room and have a cup of tea. Breakfast was excellent.
Great location. Excellent pub nearby for meals. Check out the red squirrels and the waterfall walk is a must, even in the rain.
Easy access to forest. Nice quiet environment. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was the best during our 9-day trip.
The landlords were friendly and nice
The room was clean and the breakfast was good.
Everything about the accommodation and owners was excellent 5 star accomodation.

was great.
Warm, friendly welcome.
Comfort and decor.

In fact - everything!.
Welcoming proprietors. Great location. Excellent facilities.
Exceptionally friendly, welcoming and informative hosts.
Nice Breakie. Very nice people who own the property.
very welcoming - comfortable and nice location.
Very friendly and welcoming. Excellent!.
Friendly and accommodating staff.
Lovely hosts.
Both owners very sincere. Very good breakfast room. Wifi connection good.
The only thing I would mention was the shower in our room with en suite. Archie explained that it was temperamental and showed us how to overcome that. But we still couldn't get it to go, and ended up using the general shower. (We didn't like to tell him, considering his kindness in other ways.) Usually, we don't worry too much about these things but it was frustrating, especially after our wee drama. More demanding guests may have complained.
Nothing.
The hot water for our shower was broken and tricky to operate. I didn't feel any problems with the water pressure, but our room was downstairs and we showered at night. Maybe the other reviewer used it in the morning when everyone's trying to shower.
Shower was very underpowered.
guest house does not accept credit cards.
Small shower cabin.
Hot water supply at the shower cabin necessitated some work to get it...and as often in the country water pipes are rustling and can be a bit of a noise nuisance in the night/early morning.
Nothing to say!.
Nothing.
Nothing.
Cramped ensuite. My cat had bruised whiskers after I swung it about.
The beds are not big enough for tall people.
Nothing.
Hard to find using a gps. Room was small and a little cramped. Private
bathroom was in the passage outside the room.
Leaving after just two nights.
Nothing.
Shower pressure was so bad.... nearly unusable.
Nothing to dislike.
Room small no room for cases. Duvet too hot.
