Location and room quality. Staff did all they could for rectify any problems. We were upgraded to the best rooms before arrival.Log fire. Did not have to pay for 2 poor meals and scotch for the ladies and a chance to talk the problems over with the manager were much appreciated. I hope they are able to improve the food offer. We loved the view from our room, (Rennie Mackintosh room) the bed was very comfortable and bathroom roomy. We appreciated the welcome and advice from Josh and appreciated the service in the restaurant from the lovely Hungarian couple (I'm sorry we did not get their names) Paella was delicious too!.

The look from the rooms is on the loch & mountains which makes it really atmospheric.. Highly recommended. the place is beautifully designed, warm and comfortable. The manager, soon to become owner, was very friendly and efficient. The location turned out to be ideal for seeing the surrounding area. The restaurant was a wonderful surprise. Really excellent food, perfectly crafted, fresh, everything homemade. Fantastic value. Staff were friendly and helpful. Everything was perfect. The room was clean,comfortable with excellent views. I would also recommend dining here as the evening meal and breakfast were superb. Very friendly staff, who made us feel very welcome. We celebrated our wedding Anniversary and we had very special treatment. The room was light and airy The food was some of the best I have tasted in Scothish Hotels and at a very reasonable price. Fantastic views, comfy beds, great staff, excellent food, especially the choice at breakfast. Definitely recommend. I liked the stunning view from the hotel . Had an amazing stay. a large room, good lay out, staff pleasant, however a mix of German / east Europe not the Scottish experience food in the dinning room was very nice and reasonably priced. Food not up to the standard of the rooms. A shame as they would otherwise merit more than 3 stars. Hair dryer hose split. Room cold on arrival. One of our rooms stated special touches as scented candles and mineral water. sadly both missing. Rubbish strewn around at the back of the hotel visible from inside. Smell of cigarrette smoke drifting in to the hotel from outside. Draughty lounge. Only incidentals like the spa bath not working and maybe the hair dryer could do with an upgrade. The room was a little damp/musty (but all the linen was fresh and clean). The hotel is on the main Glencoe - Fort william road and was a bit noisy early morning. (7am). Leaving!. Room was very cold, only one heater & it was not efficient for the room, did ask staff for a fan heater, which was supplied, without it, it would of been a very uncomfortable stay. Food was nice but would have liked the menu to have had more Scottish dishes. Although very good value for money, the food was mediocre but, to be fair, the restaurant was advertised as the Sea Salt Café - and not really a place for dining as such. No information in room regarding meal times nor what numbers to ring reception. Food on menu did not relate to what was served. ie. pate on hot toast became pate on 2 crackers. chips left a lot to be desired apart from that everything was great. My partner was cold in the room. Quite rough around the edges, could have been cleaner and attention to detail i.e really cheap toilet roll and soap dispenser in the bathroom was empty. Really feel im being a bit picky but for the amount of money we feel it should have been alot better. room was poorly decorated for the price paid £140. a night to stay in a room that had Three light bulbs not working a shower too powerful to use over the bath and wall paper that was so thin and cheap you could see all the damage behind the paper, also one strip of paper was obviously the wrong batch code every time you went the bath room it stood out, if it was not for the view of the lough, really over priced.
