The reception staff were local people and were very helpful and courteous. the breakfast was also very good and was included in the room price. cleanliness! it was my first time in a holiday inn and i will definately be using them again, staff were very friendly and helpfull. The room was a decent size, and furnished to high standard, with plenty of facilities to make the stay pleasant.

The room was really clean.The bed was really comfortable and the shower area was exellent.well situated for Metro centre, ice machine in lobby. Location for metro centre. Just perfect. unfortunately there was no hot water at the time of visit due to gas leak but that couldnt be helped. The staff were never on reception and took ages to serve at bar to.No. the contenental breakfast. The attitude of the receptionist was poor.There was virtually no customer service. Bar to expensive. The Duvet was very thin, it was a cold night and I was cold. did not serve lunch in restaurant!. no cooked breakfast. It would be good to have a real ale draught beer on the bar ideally obtained from a local brewery to the actual hotel. It is slightly too far out of Newcastle. We had booked in with a dog. Being in the first room by the lift did not mean we had a quiet night. Hotels that take families with dogs usually are put in a room at the far end of the corridor which is less noisy.
