I booked late, so instead of finding a hotel within my budget I found this studio apartment, and it was wonderful. Before booking we noticed we had to pick the keys up from elsewhere, and it was no trouble at all and easy to find. The lady was friendly and organised free transport to our apartment. It was really handy having a kitchen which was fully equipped as it meant breakfasts were a lot cheaper. The location was great, the place was clean and well furnished. It was close to Angel tube sta.
all reviews » The apartment was clean and warm, considering that it was one of the coldest weekends of the year. The bed was comfortable and the bed linen was fresh and crisp! The location is great as it is next to Angel Tube station and is encompassed by great bars and restaurants, which are located in the nearby Inslington. Definitely, will stay again!. Being free and easy- please ourselves. Central location near to our son. Well equipped flat which suited our needs. Good value cheaper than previous hotel stays. Allowed us to be flexible. Staff were helpful when heating not working. The apartments are close to central London in an area with many shops, pubs and restaurants and the Chapel (street) Market. They are also quite big: I never had so much space when staying in London!. The apartment was comfortable and clean, the kitchen well equipped.Location is great, lovely area. Bed very comfortable, size of kitchen and bathroom very satisfying. We had the code to enter the flat, we paid by creditcard and didn't even see any person, it was very clean, the location was perfect, everything was good. The apartment was clean and bright. Inconvenient having to collect key from finsbury park and then return to islington- was a bit of a rush then to get into London for arranged appointment. We have stayed in other places where they use a key safe and email you the code or tell you by telephone. Only after making my booking, I was informed that I had to collect my key in another part of London, although I was offered a free minicab service from there to the apartment. The bathroom is small and you can't hang your clothes. The way to get the key could be improved.(First have to go to Finsbury Park, collect key there and then another trip to Angel). The pillows were too thin- uncomfortable to sit up in bed. Extra pillows would have been great. necessary cooking utensils were present, however a teatowel, some oil, salt and pepper would be a nice addition to the coffee/tea collection. Because of the busy street it would be nice to add curtains as an addition to the blind to reduce noise bed was not very comfortable. I was sucker punched in that I found out , after I made the booking, I had to go on a 3 hour round trip of 20 miles to Finsbury Park to pick up the keys... not a good idea when you need those 3 hours for critical work... also the shower head was dripping and squealing through the night which was a pain ... no coffee sachets... I know this is an apartment, but every other apartment I've stayed in had complementary coffee. Lacked a bit of luxury. Staff took very long at reception, when collecting keys. I was invited to come at 1pm to collect the keys, when in fact, it was 3pm by the time I got them. The flat is way smaller than we thought, but its ok and comfortable for us though. That we were told one adress and that was changed and there were no directions given to get there. there were 2 big black bins in the entrance and the front of the house is a bit run down. It was a bit of a hassle after booking, having to email photo id a few times as it was not clear at first. used to just booking and going!!. The noise, no phonic insulation. I had to collect keys to the apartment in Central Park hotel at Finsbury Park, so it wasn't very convinient. Pillows were too flat, maybe more pillows??. too hot no aircon or fan this room really needs a fan. just the size of pots, too small if you want to cook for all the guests. The Wifi did not work. I like the low price, the location, that we could agree with the staff to bring us the keys there. There were only 2 towels, not the 4 promised. The bed was tiny and the pillows were not very comfortable - it would make a huge difference to the quality of the sleep if you invested in better linens. I didn't like the lack of instructions about where you could find clean towels and more toiletpaper. And the lack of tea towel and dish cloth in the kitchen. And there might also have been smaller plates and more wine glasses. Windows not double glazed and as on a busy street very noisy throughout the night hence we got little sleep. Roller blinds were light in colour and not 'black out' type - hence room very light so adding to difficulty in sleeping. Bathroom very cramped - when using toilet right knee jammed against side of under-sink unit!. Very thin pillows. No tea towel. Had to call sister hotel twice to find instructions for Internet access and how to turn on central heating. The bathroom is disgusting - the sink plug wouldn't lift up, and there is obviously serious leakage from under the shower tray as the whole floor was squelchy. We had to remember to wear shoes when using the bathroom!. The collection of keys which is quite a distance from the apartment Misleading information about parking - I prepaid for 2 days car parking only to find that this was at the hotel where keys were collected from not the apartment, this was very inconvenient due to my luggage and needing to depart from the apartment quickly on day of departure, as opposed to driving across London. Lack of good blinds meant you are awake at the crack of dawn. Slow in getting the door code to me and 'sister hotel' will not assist at all. Lack of light-proof blinds Noisy traffic. 1. Very inconvenient pick-up of key from hotel so far from apt. and not informed of this when booking. 2. apt should be inspected at time of departure and deposit returned immediately. Very unsatisfactory to have to wait up to 10 days for return. The tv aerial did not work properly and the reception continuously was either poor or not responsive. Confusion about the location of the apartment as we ended up at a different address as per confirmation. Unnecessary trip to the hotel to check in delayed our stay in London. Wasn't overly clean and the road was incredibly noisy. Located just off the Pentonville rd meant traffic was relentless all night and made the flat noisy. Poor shower, dirty, old Stiff to open front door from street Awful towels, thin rough, no excuse even if budget accom. Not as advertised, cannot be termed 'luxurious"in any way, not even plug for sink (kitchen)linen 2nd rate, min furniture etc, could not recommend. In no way was this luxury!. The property waas not suitable for small children and was grotty.
