The Hotel is in a great location, we travel with two young kinds and we went from the airport to the hotel using the underground with no issues at all. Very short walk from the tube exit. The underground station has a great and convenient schedule so hotel is in perfect place to sightsee the city and leverage public transportation. The Staff of the hotel was incredible friendly and nice with our kids. Kudos. The hotel and rooms are clean as expected. Hotel is as good as advertise. No surprises.
all reviews » Clean and tidy. Great value for the money. Stayed several times at different Premier Inn hotels and always have had a good experience. The surrounding area has not much to offer, but the inner districts of London is easily accessible with tube or bus. We traveled from Heathrow with the piccadilly line and changed trains at Kings Cross to get to the hotel. Was easy enough even with a large suitcase. But is probably not to recommend in worst rush hours. I like that as a traveler from the US, I can confidently pick a Premier Inn in the UK and know the quality I can expect. It takes away a lot of the "but is it really as good as everyone says?" The staff was wonderful at this location. I arrived too early for check-in and they held my bag while I continued with my day. They were friendly every time I walked by which was a nice feeling as they were noticing their customers. Fantastic helpful staff. Really clean, modern and friendly. Two stops on underground from King's Cross & easy access to central London. Surrounding area is 'student' type but the hotel is an oasis. Definitely use again. Great rate - £128 for a Saturday night - family of four in one room. The kids beds were solid & comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff giving prompt attention. Good hot breakfast which was buffet style but eggs could be ordered, any style, and freshly cooked. Other freshly prerpared items were also offered. Too much expectation for "maximum comfortable sleep experience" and it is not the really expected. Beds are just Ok. It was quite pricey at £113 for one person (inc breakfast). Would have been good if you could get a sandwich / soup in the bar rather than have to eat in restaurant. We stayed here for 8 days and found nothing negative at all about this hotel. Noise disturbance at night caused by passing police/ambulance vehicles at regular intervals The hotel interior was quiet but the exterior noise certainly intruded. Should provide bathroom carpet after coming out from shower There is no outlet for water spilled outside the bathtub. Neighborhood was okay, but nothing special. The only close tube stop, Old Street, is only on Northern Line of underground, which didn't stop anywhere we were going, necessitating transfers on every trip. Lack of fridge in the room. Trying to rank this as a 3 or 4 star, this (and, of course, no room service) will bring this hotel to a 3 star. But a good one. bed was a bit short for me that i'm tall 1,83 cm. Couldn't really find fault. . n/a. There was no fridge in the room and the air conditioning was problematic - it turned itself on and off. Not much! It was great!. Breakfast was the same every day. A little bit of change wouldn't be bad. For example, some fresh salads. For our fourday stay it was ok. Windows can not be opened. One criticism would be the late check in time 14.00 but we could leave our bags there safely. It wasn't a major problem but 2 or our 3 rooms weren't ready when we checked in (after the check in time). But the staff sorted it really quickly. Nothing. The location with regards to the student accommodation directly across from the hotel. Drunk students returning to their accommodation at 2,3,4am and shouting with no consideration for people like me who were down there to work. I have to get up at 6am so was very tired most days. The window didn't open. nothing. No complaints. We were there over a weekend and rail work shut the tube so we had to bus to other stations. Inconvenient. Had a leak from our shower under the carpet at bathroom door - mentioned it a few times; hope they have dealt with it now. Elevator had power problems on day we checked out BUT they were very proactive to have people stationed with walkie talkies on floors to manage it well. The room has no fridge, safe, toilet brush. Iron is given on request. No electrical adapters. Breakfast arrangements a little chaotic (but worth the wait). After paying no more than £55 for other premier inn rooms (sometimes £29)paying more than double this seemed a lot, but this was London and I accepted this. Bed is a bit firm for me but others may appreciate it. Although double glazed lots of noise from outside traffic especially Friday night due to sirens from police etc, although cant blame you! Stupid toilet paper dispensers that its hard to get paper from Soap dispensors that are too close to wall so hard to get flannels under Shower curtains that stick to you and no matter how hard you try make mess over floor would prefer screens.
