The staff were fantastic. Very helpful with directions and giving us extra toilet paper and washing powder when we ran out. I also asked for a drying rack for washing as I don't like to use the tumble dryer and when we got back to the apartment it was all set up. The rooms were clean, nicely furnished,but a bit small and you couldn't open the windows at night when sleeping due to the city noise. The kitchen facilities were ample with a nice large fridge. The apartments are within zone 1 in Aldg.
all reviews » These apartments are modern, spotless and spacious, with all the fittings and facilities you need for a perfect stay. For the money I don't think you could do better. I stayed here nearly 3 years ago and was thrilled; I was not disappointed this time as things are still outstandingly clean and fresh, spacious and comfortable. Having a washer/dryer is fantastic when you are away for a while too! Also convenient for the tube and in zone 1. I highly recommend these apartments; I cannot fault them . Aldgate looks a bit far out of the centre, but actually it's easy to walk to Tower Bridge and the South Bank, and it's well served by the tube and bus to get to the West End. The apartment was surprisingly spacious and (we were on the 13th floor) had great views. It was a pleasant change from hotels, since the extra space gave much more flexibility to self cater. Cost is reasonable compared with equivalent hotel prices, and on this basis we would certainly seriously consider it again. Liked it all, I'd book it again! Location was perfect for me as the course I was attending was only next door. A tube ride to any decent sights, although the tube station is not too far away. My wife & children joined me for the first night of my trip, so I'd booked a room with a sofa bed. On arrival I was told we'd been upgraded to a 2 bed apartment. Staff friendly, courteous & helpful. The apartment was modern and clean. It was definitely spacious enough for a young family. We had an amazing view of the city from most windows. It was a very short walk from Aldgate East underground station. There was also a cafe across the road with great breakfasts and lunches, and a Tesco near the tube station. These apartments were amazing the front receptionist were very helpful the views were fantastic there isn't anything missed we stayed from the sat to the Monday and it was like home from home we will not stop in a hotel again when visiting London it will be the marlin apartments every time. –The spectacular 270º views of London around the balcony. – Very spacious, cosy and comfortable. – Extremely clean throughout. – Big shower! – Free Wifi – Superb facilities – the washing machine and supplied washing powder a fantastic bonus. – L'Occitane bathroom toiletries. Staying in an apartment gives you much more freedom than staying in a hotel. It is also good with older children as they have privacy in their own bedroom and bathroom but you don't need to worry about them being in a totally separate hotel room. The staff was friendly and helpful. Good, clean and spacious room. Close to underground station. We were on the 11th floor and the room was quiet during the night. The free wifi not only worked in the hotel but also several places in the city. Apartment was really clean and well equipped. It also had a lovely view of the city. Check in was efficient. Location is under-sold. its a quick walk away from Brick Lane (curry and asian cusine) and large Tesco store. Also tube is a 2 minute walk away (Aldgate East). We were looking for apartments with twin bed rooms which seems to be very difficult to get in London. Nothing. We were on the ninth floor, and had hoped for a nice view, but it was almost entirely blocked by the neighbouring buildings. The heating system was complicated and we experienced some problems with the WiFi. Everything was excellent. Not completely set up for preparing food. No potholder, cutting board, sponge, paper towels, nor small knife. sofa was old and discomfortable. We got advantage of reading reviews at" letsbookhotel.com" prior planning.Therefore ,nothing to dislike beyond our expectation nor being unaware of !. Location isn't the nicest but it is close to a tube station. Not sufficient utilities such plates, cups and glasses. Check in process like Government verification process.
