I really enjoyed my stay. The room was immaculate and very well decorated. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Ace in situated in a great neighborhood and conveniently located near the tube and bus. Lots of great restaurants and bars in the neighborhood. Will certainly not stay anywhere else the next time I am in London. It was modern simple and fresh, slightly industrial, concrete walls etc - not for everyone but we really liked the edgy feel!.

Location. Cool atmosphere young and enthusiastic staff. Modern hotel with a great room, spacious and clean. Location Staff Decor. The staff were fantastic and made us feel really welcome, especially our dog. . Great location for Shoreditch bars and shopping. Hotel will be much better when its finished. Cool design aesthetic. - Nice atmosphere, pleasant smiley staff - good spot from which to explore Hoxton/Shoreditch. Style/decor Comfortable beds. The ambiance. Shoreditch is a great area for a trendy weekend but a little far from the traditional London sights. The staff are friendly. If the facilities ever reach the standard of the staff the hotel could succeed. Restaurant was not open until the third day of our trip. But when it was open it was delicious. Not finished but looking v promising !!!!. Was frightened to use things in the room in case I was charged! Even down to the mugs for tea in the morning haha. I think it is over priced for what you get in the room. It has details that don't go along with the cost and image of the hotel. I.E.The hair dryer is cheap & useless (costs 5 euro or less), don't have body lotion in the amenities, no coffee or water included, etc... these kind of details are not from a hotel that costs what this one costs. The Price is too high for what u get. Gym and Sauna still closed. wasn't really anything I didn't like but would have been good to have little things like a shower cap for instance but really wasn't a show stopper. very slow check in and check out procedure. smell in the room without the possibility to open window. No tea spoons and no coffee in the room. Nothing this time!. We had to leave without breakfast as room service didn't start until 7 and maybe a more extensive snack menu in the bar would be nice? . Constant drilling and construction work started at 8:00am. No bar, restaurant or leisure facilities at all despite being advertised (they are not open yet). Mini bar expensive. No opening window in the room, making it very claustrophobic - air con only works if you insert the key card. -Got given a room equipped for handicapped/wheelchair bound guests - great they have this but not practical for able-bodied guests. The reception did not tell us this on check-in. -The feeling that this hotel was just an upmarket youth hostel at high price. -Very loud construction noise at 8.15 am on Sat morning. Noise - windows fixed slighly open. No record player even though this was shown on the room photo Just 2 tea bags, no coffee. The cleanliness. It is a bit dirty. Surprised this is a 5 star hotel - for me it is just an average 4 star hotel. Presented as a design hotel but it unfortunately looks like a Premier Inn on the outside. No coffee in the room (?), only tea bags and not even a teaspoon. The hotel is not yet finished, advertised facilities although planned do not yet exist. For example No restaurant, no bar, no gym etc. Hotel very dusty due to on going building work.
