Staff were friendly on arrival and made everything very easy for myself and my partner even though it was a busy time with everyone checking in in time for Scotland Vs. Ireland at the 6 nations. Our room was ready on arrival and we couldn't have had a better room! We stayed in room 8 (highly recommended!) which, being on the top floor, had a stunning view of the castle which matched the equally impressive interior of the room! We had an amazing sleep in the seriously comfy bed and woke up fresh.

Our room is designed so amazing as Scotland style. It's also excellent with the price you pay. We strongly recommend visitors staying this beautiful and good -serviced BB. A lovely boutique style hotel, close to the city centre and a view of Edinburgh Castle from our room. Beautiful breakfast each morning with plenty of choice, and a lovely bar and library area to relax in. Beautifully decorated in a modern style, but inkeeping with the traditional interior. Loved it!. The interior decoration of the lobby and the lounge is brilliant for my taste. Wifi covers everywhere in the hotel. The location is close enough to the center but avoid busy roads so it's quiet. The staff is friendly and helpful and knowledgeable of bars, restaurants, shops in the city. Great position, everything was in walking distance from hotel. Our group was made to feel very welcome by all the super staff. Quiet location and comfortable rooms. Lovely breakfast. We would give a score of 11+ if we could!. The staff, venue and food were all excellent and I would have no hesitation in returning to and recommending the B+B. The view from the room was spectacular and the B+B very handy for the station, shops and museums. I loved how soft the towels were, and how comfortable the bed and bed linens were. Rosethy Terrace and Rosethy Street is opposite, but Rosethy Terrace is not shown on the map. So, we seem lost the way when finding this hotel. But anyway, everything is excellent. The lift is a bit small, more like a closet. But unless someone is claustrophobic, it is okay. The power of the shower was a bit temperamental. Nothing. Only english speaking channels on TV. The checkout time being at 11h many guests leave their luggage but there is no allocated room which is a shame. no long term public parking near by. Slight plumbing problem. Parking was not convenient. The lack of water in the morning. I appreciate it's an older building and lots of people trying to shower/wash at the same time - but given the nature of the business then it should be able to accomodate this. If i have to find something. The complimentary toiletries were poor quality compared to everything else. Towels were bit tired. when all guests were showering in their rooms in the morning my 4th floor room had very little power to the water supply, so the shower was a trickle. ROOM 19: very small, only suitable for single use in my opinion. The room seemed very cramped, and the sloped ceiling greatly resticted space for both myself and m partner to get ready. Also with the bed facing towards the doorway, your head being below the Vedic window was very off putting. Plastic chairs in dining room and in rooms detract from character. We were put in a pokey loft room at first which was like a cupboard with a bed squashed in it. Asked them to change and they changed us immediately. Bins in room were full to overflowing, sink in bathroom water did not flow away, lift was not working,. Noise from the neighbouring rooms shower, no parking directly outside. All was Good. Expensive parking. Bit out of the way. Lack of parking.
