Overall very good, enjoyed our two night stay there with our son and his friend, 19 and 20 years. We were in Dunoon to do activiities ie, speed boat one day and quadbiking. Ideal base, the hotels own menu very reasonable, only used it one night and were very happy. The first night we went for a local indian which was disappointing. should have stayed in hotel! Fairly quiet, which we like, we also went into local pubs. Would recommend this hotel and would do again. lovely sea views for us.
all reviews » The staff member we met was friendly, the food was lovely and great sized portions; we had booked for my partners birthday and the hotel had given us a free bottle of wine to celebrate his birthday. It was in a cooler in the room when we arrived, all in all it was an excellent hotel and night away. Ideal location near to Dunoon centre. Easy to get to from the ferry. Rooms were nicely decorated and had kettle plus tea and coffee and biscuits. Beds were comfortable and television with good range of channels. Breakfast was very good with large pot of piping hot tea. Staff were friendly. we booked this weekend as end of boating season and we all had a ball never been to country and western weekend but it was great entertainment and could not fault this hotel for friendliness and they could not be more helpful in fact going back for new year ball. The staff at the Park are very friendly and welcoming, the hotel is spotlessly clean. We didn't have dinner at The Park but the breakfast was very good value for money and the food of a high quality. Would recommend as a cosy comfortable family run hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always happy to answer queries and offer advice. The room where breakfast was served was beautiful, overlooking the estuary and play area. The breakfast was beutifully cooked, hot and fresh. All brilliant attentive staff, really excellant food that was fantastic value for money, and a clean room with crisp bed linen.We were offered two rooms to see which would be more suitable for us with our dog. The staff were exemplary. My American tourists were on a research programme and the manager was most helpful in that quest. The young receptionist was a delight, as was breakfast, and ofcourse the rooms. The location was good .The staff were very helpful and friendly .The room had a sea view .The dinner was a good price and the breakfast excellent ..cooked to order. The hotel was excellent and staff very friendly. We had dinner in the evening and it was well presented and value for money. A three course meal was £10.00. The fact that we were treated like human beings that were allowed to smoke without standing out in the snow and wind. Other hotels should take note. Beautiful view across the bay. The studio we stayed in was lovely,really comfortable and clean,the views were gorgeous and there was a great amount of tea,coffee and biscuits,really loved having a mug instead of a wee cup! Bit on the quiet side No entertainment. thought breakfast was unimaginative Had to ask for bran/no porridge/no fish. poor standfard of produce served at breakfast. Also minimal breakfast choice. Nothing. not a great choice for breakfast if you do not eat meat. 8.30-9.30 breakfast time was a bit too early for a lazy week-end away and there's a real problem with lack of water pressure which is probably due to being in the attic space but made having a shower near to impossible but the bath was fine,just took a long time to fill. Lack of wi-fi in rooms Rooms looking dated - the room I had, the back of the wardrobe was falling off and the bath panel was falling off. Rather small and cramped room, was a sleep of smoke in the room and had to open windows.(Non-Smokers). No on site parking,public car park at back of hotel and on street parking only. No fruit at breakfast table, lack of information on menu for evening meals, until coach party arrived. We think the hotel is geared up for coach partys.
