The hotel is very modern - everything is very clean and new looking. The rooms are a good size - we had a quad and a double, and the quad was huge. Good to have tea-making facilities included. There is a Brewers Fayre next door where you can get a meal, or the breakfast. It is OK, but not good if you are vegetarian - had to resort to a pizza delivery service!!. The location was really fab, a great view. It was really quiet and peaceful. The beds were very comfortable, and the room itself was extremely clean. All these things are important when staying at a hotel I feel. Staff were really friendly, even if I wasn't first thing in a morning!!.
all reviews » Within walking distance of Barry Island. Close to train station for access to Cardiff. All staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast. Liked the fact there were vending machines with juice, water and snacks. Plenty of information brochures available on places to visit. We had an engagement in Barry and the hotel was within walking distance of the venue. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful. The hotel was clean. The room was nicely decorated, roomy, all facilities needed. The bathroom was lovely. All in all the hotel was excellent. Myself and my Fiancé had a lovely weekend here-will definitely be visiting again! It is in a very good location,very clean,great food and staff are great. We especially enjoyed the company of Rich who works on the reception-our tourist guide!. Wonderful staff, so friendly and helpful. Nice location. Clean and comfortable rooms Barry has the most beautiful coastline - stunning scenery and beautiful beaches. Great for holidays, walkers etc. wonderful places to visit nearby. we were attending a wedding nearby so didnt really look around Barry wasnt particularly impressed with what we did see but the surrounding countryside was lovely and was ideally located to travel into Cardiff or do some sightseeing. Staff were very helpful- great rooms, clean, lovely beds most comfortable nights sleep in ages. Good location away from the front so no noise but within walking distance. Great restaurant good food friendly staff good breakfast. Quietness, internal sound transmission was minimal, hotel easy to locate, good outlook from room. Good hot food served efficiently. Staff very friendly and very polite, they also had good personalities and were happy to talk. The hotel and staff were friendly and very helpful to our needs!!! The room was very clean and ease of access for myself and a toddler!!! Breakfast menu was lovely and there was something for everyone!!. We liked the friendliness of all the staff, including in the brewers fayre! We had an uncomfortable first night but the staff were fab doing everything they could to ensure our second night was better. It was only a one night visit to stay over at Barry Island and a most enjoyable one to. The staff were very friendly & helpful, the room was perfect & clean and finally the food was excellent. On arrival there was a warm welcome from the receptionist and plenty of useful information. The room was comfortable and clean and allowed fora good nights sleep. Handy for Cardiff without the price. The room was immaculate.. Lovely staff even though we arrived at midnight after informing them of the long journey we faced. Cosey and v comfortable bed couldn't fault it . Thankyou premiere inn xxx. The front desk is meant to be staffed 24 hours, but when we checked out (admittedly around 6:45) though we rang the bell, no one appeared. One of our bathrooms smelled very smoky despite smoking being forbidden in the rooms. Nothing, I loved everything about it!. Though I like a firm mattress found the room one quite hard, and the firm pillows not very firm. Would have liked a window that opened but all quite minor details. Nothing it was excellent. No phone to call reception I hate the soap dispensers on the wall in the bathroom, can't cost that much for a bit of shampoo!. nothing. Some of the clientele were not very well behaved, eg, disgarding their litter in public areas. The droppings were however , promptly clear/tidied up but a lack of waste bins in these areas probably was the cause; and perhaps company policy. One mal-functioning lift did not help. It wasn't very clear that it would be a good mile and a half or so walk to the main beach, and perhaps more info on the local area in terms of a walking route to te main Barry Island would be helpful?. Nothing. Nothing. There was nothin at all I didn't like .. Could maybe do with a bigger tv haha . Really was value for money. A noisy neighbour in the room above on our first night!. One of the tiles on the ceiling of the room was open onto pipes and there was no control for the tv. nothing. Next time we stay I'll request a room with a view. A little noisy at night time, I think the light fitting on our bedroom ceiling was loose so this constantly rattled as people thudded around the room, quite heavy footed!. Unable to open the window in the roonm although we did have air con. No clothes line or heated rail to a traveller's washing. Bed was quite hard. Nothing. Problem with water pressure in the sink taps. fried eggs ,. The windows do not open at all. I found the room too stuffy without natural ventilation, There was air conditioning but I found it too noisy and couldn't sleep. no phone in rooms. a little bit dear to stay. breakfast is also a bit dear. Like every other hotel everywhere, there was not enough milk/tea bags in the room although there was no problem getting some more from the receptionist. Did not like the breakfast arrangements. Very busy/hectic. Poor quality of food.No service to table. prices have increased due to popularity of hotel. Nothing. I think guess shiuld be able to control the heating can a telephone be install in the room. Brewers fayre breakfast buffet food was cold every morning. Plates cold. Chicken feast buffet was cold, dehydrated and almost tasteless - at 14:30. However, restaurant staff were also very welcoming and friendly. Obviously very well trained. Difficult to get into the bath as there was no handle to hold onto. No shaver socket in the bathroom. It was all good!. Bed for older child not ready on arrival. Not enough towels for 2 adults and 1 older child. We had 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel.
