The hostess was extremely friendly and welcoming. The room far exceeded our expectations for comfort and luxury. The breakfast was quite delicious. All the facilities were excellent as was the location and Kilkerran should without a doubt have been awarded a higher grading. We would happily recommend this accommodation to anyone we know. very nice and helpfull owner, good breakfast, very nice and cosy room, close to the beach and to the centre of Ayr which is very nice town :-). Very good conection with airport and with Glasgow. I really recomend this pleace :-) I hope that in the future I will come here again.
all reviews » Friendly staff, wonderful breakfast and a great dog. Clean rooms, family atmosphere and all in all a wonderful guesthouse experience. Only 4km from Pickwick airport, and 4km from the birthplace of Robert Burns, Scotland's national poet. Friendly welcome, even though we arrived late. Cosy room. Nice breakfast. Very close to station, so only around 7 mins. from Airport door to door. Comfy beds. Nice biscuits!. Location and easy to find shops within walking distance,good parking lovely room comfy cosy and clean very good breakfast host was very freindly and accomodating. very friendly and helpful plus the excellent breakfast helped me to go on to win the Scottish Senior Fours Championship and for that Margaret you were great. Great value for money, all of my friends enjoyed staying in the place. Very friendly staff and a smashing breakfast. All said we would happily go back. :). Was very disappointed ,was not as looked I the site felt we were in a lodgings as work men seemed to be living their shared bathroom was bad dirty towels I floor parade was only good point. Nothing. nothing, everything was ok :-). En-suite extractor fan noisy at night. Clock radio or alarm clock would be useful. When arrived I couldnt get anyones attention although I was in the house because the door was open so I wasnt left on the doorstep,after a while I seen the mobile number to phone if know one was about didnt look (I am a man)the landlady had popped down the shops for provisions, we all have to shop so it was no problem may I suggest making the lable with the mobile on a bit bigger for us men cheers love. Showers kept blowing hot and cold, especially at Peak Times that was the only downside. It was a little bit overheated for my comfort; Some of the door locks badly worn, leading to security concerns. Bathroom window wouldnt close so I felt a little uncomfortable taking a shower in there. Shared bathroom was a little intimidating at times. No complaints at all. Heating was on way too high and took a while for the room to cool. N/a. Too short a stay. Cant think of anything. Nothing I didn't like. internet didnt work. not en-suite but passable. Nothing. Nothing. Locked lounge and no details how to log onto Wi Fi without having to try and track down owner. Front door was very hard to lock without banging would have been an issue if I was arriving early hours. not too clean but ok for a budget place. They did not have our booking and was left outside in the cold for 45 mins ontill aguest let us in.and another 20 mins till owner came after 3 phone calls to him from my phone not very nice. nothing. Poor service,bathroom and toilet are dirty. No wifi available on the day we stay. Booked a single room in July for September stay, on arrival only offered a double. Then unfriendly check out staff charged over double the booked price. Room & bathroom a bit dirty. not very clean no breakfast on 1st morning in spite of being wakened much earlier by some very noisy guests leaving. We we told to go next door when we striver to what looked like a house in need if repair picture on sit towels treadbare. It is not clean. It is run down and very shabby. The floor carpet was absolutely filty. I walked barefoot on it once and my feet were black from the dirt of the carpet.
