We chose this hotel for our two-night stay in Bangkok based on a combination of location, price and previous reviews; we were not disappointed. It sits in a back street away from the noise and commotion of the main roads and so is pretty quiet and allowed us some much-needed rest after our long journey. The rooms are extremely spacious with separate sleeping, lounge and bathroom areas; our room even had a porch-type area with it's own air conditioning unit and seating. The staff are lovely: .

We booked a two-bedroom room,which was really nice and spacy, clean, lovely facilities and well furnished. We stayed here for two days, and met 3 staffs here, all of them were nice, smiley and helpful. The breakfast here was even better, fresh fruits, coffee/tea, bread with butter or Jam, fired eggs with bacon, everything. just wonderful. Even it is close to everywhere, it‘s very quite in night, really relax a. Great location near Democracy monument, Ratanakosin, Khao San Rd., Chao Praya river and other sightseeings. This hotel location is the best for those who travel to BKK at first time, it's best for discovering old city. There lot of famous places near, supermarkets, street food courts. Staff is very friendly. Early check-in is avaliable. We booked Executive double room. It was enourmous! Very big, well furnished and designed with big balcony. The location of Ratchadamnoen Residence is great in old part of Bangkok. There is also a great reference point Democracy Monument near there. We showed it to drivers and they all new it. There is McDonalds 50 meteres from the hotel. The staff were friendly and hospitality was superior. Defenetly I'll chose Ratchadamnoen Residence next time in Bangkok. Dont let the entrance road put you off, it is in a back street, approx; 300 meters from the roundabout. Absolute excellent hotel with friendly helpful staff. All our taxi drivers (4) had problem finding it, 2 had to ring them even though we had hotel provided directions and map). Very small and un-inviting lobby which surprisingly opens up into a very clean and quite spacious modern layout above lawyers building. Which is somewhat spoilt by wooden slats instead of sealed windows allowing sewage smell from next doors leaking plumbing into the room area.(And there’s the problem, no lift.) Taxi struggled to find and the streets it's located on isn't very nice to elk down. the view is nothig speciall, but you are not staying there to sit on the balcony. 1, Because of the opposition protest the gov nearby, there is so much nosie, we can not have a good sleep. No windows. no elevator. not so new. the street in front of the hotel is quite narrow and unclean. breakfast is not buffet and sort of simple. Windows overlooking a wall so very little natural light, very hard bed. One of the receptionist asked us to return after our use the touristic map she gave us (the one all hotels provide for free and are full of ads..). She also had to double check that we were 3 persons in the room to provide a 3rd towel. Pity for the other receptionist who was very helpfull and polite. nothing. A little bit noisy A/C, no lift (issue especially for guests in 4th and 5td floor). One of the girl at the reception didn't look at us even say hello but the other receptionist was very helpful and friendly. No lift access. The mattress was very hard. nothing. bangkok. The second room in two-room apartment was too small for two kids with an extra bed in it. The girl at the reception didn't even look at us when she me us for he first time.
