Very clean and comfy, simple, but what more do you need?
Nothing I can complain about, fantastic value for money.
The friendly hostess who gave me a present as I left, and kept our room nice and tidy. She also provided tea bags and a kettle and microwave as well as free internet use on a PC. The only slight problem was the lack of a fridge for us to keep our milk cool. Also our room was above a reasonably quiet alleyway so not too noisy.
Had trouble finding it as I did not know Piso 3 meant 3rd Floor, and there was no sign on the street with the hotel name.
Our room was nice, light and airy. The woman who ran it was very kind. It's in a good location for exploring the city.
The hostel smelled of cigarettes - perhaps from the neighbouring apartments.
It was my second time and I loved it. 1.location,location. Location! Literally 2 minutes on foot from Puerta del Sol ( the very center of town) with a night shop next door and plenty of shops, restaurant and eateries 2. Mrs. Luz , the owner is always sweet and accommodating.3. CLEAN. Our room and the bathroom have been recently refurbished. 4. QUIET. There were hardly any noise. Surprising given its location. 5. For the seniors there is also a LIFT.All in all it is a great value for money. I warmly advise this place to all travelers.RECOMMENDED.
The lady working there was very nice, the room was comfortable. There is a really cute cat in the hotel :)
The bathrooms were a little old, but still rather clean.
Hostal was spotlessly clean. It is very convenient for all of the best sights in Madrid.
Great location right near Sol and all the night spots. Awesome value for money.
The mattress on our bed was very hard and uncomfortable - this was however replaced on request with a more comfortable mattress for the second night which was great.
The personable service and genuine hospitality of the family is the part that I will remember the MOST from my stay. Even thought breakfast was supposed not to be provided, they always served us some simit and tea, and was readily available and knowledgeable about travel and visit info.

Perfect location , when you visit this city, you could take hotel like hub, that you could have short rest for the whole trip. Family hostel, and owne could speak good english and french.

The location next to the Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor is excellent, walking distance to the Prado and the main sights. We were received very cordially by the charming and very friendly Luz, in her clean and comfortable hostal. Lots of eating options nearby. We didn't have a good experience at the nearby Museo del Jamon, but that was just our bad choice for breakfast.
Inevitably, parking is very expensive. The nearby Plaza Mayor car park is the best option at 31.50 euros a day.

The location! Right in the middle of everything! We had a great time. There was no breakfast, but that easn't a problem at all since the hotel is very close to Madrid's best breakfast place: San Gines (chocolate y churros).

The hostal had amazing location in the heart of Madrid. The lady who was waiting for us spoke only Spanish but were able to communicate despite my very limited vocabulary. Very quiet hostal with comfortable room
There was no staff when we were leaving and thus we were not able to ask if we could leave our luggage to a luggage room etc.

Excellent location, walking distrance to sol and Plaza Mayor with many good restaurants nearby. Room is spacious and extremely clean. Very good for money. Water boiler and micro-oven in the shared sitting room (no plate or forks & knives, etc)
I was so happy with the comfort, cleanliness and quality of the room for the price. The location was perfect, so central. Would definitely stay again!
It would have been great to have a private bathroom but as it was a quiet time of year I didn't see another guest through the whole 4 night stay!
