We stayed here for my husbands birthday the staff were very helpful and the rooms were clean the location was so good very close to railway from airport. We were not expecting this hostel to be so good. Dont get me wrong its not luxury but you get what you pay for and would stay here again. The hostal was neat the center of barcelona. 5 minute walk from plaza de catalunya and the shops nearby, 10 minutes walk from famous street la rambla. There are many sights to see nearby like gaudi's casa de batllo etc. there are many metro stations so anyone can go wherever he wants.
all reviews » The staff was friendly and helpful all the time, the patio was great to sit outside with other guests from the hostal, good location with breakfast and bars just nextdoors, good connection to the metro. Very simple but perfectly comfortable room for four, which is hard to find in Barcelona. Balcony overlooking the street was a lovely perk. Close to Placa Catalunya. Really friendly staff. Room number 4 is opposite the reception desk and next to the terrace so can be noisy. Ask for a room on the next floor there is a lift which was working. The price could be a little cheaper. For what I paid, nothing. The staircase was a bit tricky with a suitcase and I couldn't work out the floor numbers in the lift. * the lift was quite scary :). Lighting was a bit dim. The bathroom shower is small. But it did the job. I do wish it had more tourist maps and such . All that maps and info didn't come out till Friday when my friends and I were leaving !. shower overflowed after two people showered because drains were quite slow. It was very noisy. One could hear the toilet flush from the next room and people walking in the hall. Stayed for a second time and had worse room, however met our expectations. No fridge, no kitchen and more bathrooms would be nice.Bad smell in the bathroom that seems to be in the pipes. . There is nothing inside of the room exclude beds Uncomfortable beds Dirty towels There is no cleaning materials. Lack of hot water - when arrived we had to take an icy shower! Our room seems to serve before as the terrace as there were alot of doors leading outside. Bedclothes and towels are out of order with the holes and terrible chlorine smell! (After a few days you get used to it :). Room was in need of repair- broken window, lights did not work or needed bulbs. Stairs and old-fashioned lift. Lack of air-conditioning (ceiling fan instead). Shower very cramped. dirty walls, extremly small bathroom, not working internet. very noise sewage macerator/pump. No air conditioning, very uncomfortable bed for us (obviously a personal thing but much too soft for us and gave us sore backs and hips), no storage space in bedroom, bedroom very small and HOT as it was just off the terrace rather than in the main building. Not really clean enough. Shower leaked uncontrollably onto the floor and flooded the bedroom. Too expensive for what they offer. scary small double room. without refrigerator. the double bed was very small. had no closet in the room . Towels and linens not changed. without TV. without air condition . We were placed in the terraced room, which was the size of a match box, no wardrobe and no air conditioning. We complained and got moved to room six the next morning. Toilet was very small, to use the toilet you had to sit with your feet in the shower. Again there was no wardrobe totally unacceptable when you are staying for five nights. The walls were dir. the room was in need of decorating,i asked when we booked to have a room near my son and his wife ended we were on the fourth floor they were on the first.i will not be staying in this hostal again not very happy at all it was the pits. the facility is very poor. it looks like a ghost house. staff wrote that in a room with one king bed. We wanted to have two separate. we set about it in the fame staff. Sandra said that this is not possible, but promised to put another little separate bed for 60 euros. we agreed. Upon check-in to the room found the same three single beds. charged us 60 euros for nothing. too high a rate. Room light Noice No Ac.
