Candice, one of your travel agents/assistants, went above and beyond to make sure all our questions were answered and all our tour arrangements were completed...She is a treasure for V&A! Don't let this one get away!! Similarly, the breakfast staff (from our hostess to our waitress) made each morning a joyful experience! What a refreshing delight...A breath taking view of Table Mountain and the waterfront accompanied by individuals who made sure we were served remarkable meals in a profes.
all reviews » The location was great, lots of choices for dinning and shopping and centrally located so that made it easy to get out and about. the Waterfront was well sign posted for visitors unfamiliar with Cape Town so that was a huge plus when going out and then returning, we never got lost.... being on the harbour withthe excursions was a plus as well. We could not have been happier wioth our choice of hotel, and would stay there again should we visit. Excellent waterfront location with the benefit of the buzzy waterfront eateries and shops. drive. The short drive from the airport makes it a good choice if you just want to recover from your flight before exploring the Cape. Loft rooms great value, generously sized with very comfy beds - ours also had views of Table Mountain and the harbour. Would definitely stay here again. Loved everything.Great and safe location. The location of this hotel is second to none, the joy of eating breakfast outdoors with a view to die for simply cannot, anywhere in the world be bettered. The rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed, again with a mountain view sipping tea whilst enjoying the large arm chairs is simply perfect. We stayed in the mountain view superior room. A note to the maintenance staff...The faucet in the small bathroom of room 112 has a steady, small drip and the towel holder is not anchored into the wall properly. the only draw back was we were onthe 3rd floor and our windows were more like sky lights than a n actual window but as we were out sight seeing it ended up not being too much of a bother, I would have prefered a window that you could look out as we had nice views, but did not get to enjoy them as we would have with a regular window set up. next tiem I will request the 2nd floor. Nothing really, though placing a bidet in the bathroom would be an added bonus. Nothing. Our room was only made up in the afternoon after we requested that it be done in the morning while we were out and there were no slippers but the uber comfy gowns made up for that. The bathrooms need to be upgraded for a hotel of this standing. The fact that you had to pay extra for breakfast at the price we paid for the accommodation was very off putting. nothing. Nothing to dislike!. - staff servicing should be encouraged to be more vigilant to details e.g. make sure tea spoons are delivered together with cups in the room and at the breakfast table without having to request for them;. the room that we took has two little windows. nothing too important. it is a nice place. nothing. Nothing, whenever I holiday in Cape Town, this is the only hotel that I will stay in. the windows in the rooms were very old and very thin, as a result every sound from the outside was inside, noise was very bad, definetly could be improved by hotel. Nothing to complain about. Overpriced. Nearly knocking myself unconscious everytime I walked to one side of the loft room. There was nothing to complain about. Breakfast was a little disappointing. Dining room service was slow and pool rather cloudy. I had quite an expensive room (219) for 3000+ Rand per night I think. I know of hotels which offer better value for this (even I cannot complain about specifics). I assume I paid quite some money for the view. Eventually the windows could be better to reduce noise from outside. TV was really bad. Had to sign in to Internet every time you used it. Nothing. Lacks a wow factor . At check in no real information given to us. You can use facilities of sister hotel nearby, but they didn't tell us that. No complaints at all!. I had a watch removed from my suitcase during my stay. I should have locked it, I know... Nothing. Limited channels on TV. The fact we had to leave so soon !!. Very small reception area. I wish I could stay longer. nothing. Only one lift. I can't find anything that I did not like, except that we stayed 3 nights, and it was raining most of the time... V expensive breakfast. Poor wifi speed, though this applies across Cape Town.. Not big issue but hindges to bar / fridge needs replacement in room 115. bathroom a bit worn and even grubby in the shower. Parking.

Please note that refurbishments are taking place on the hotel's ground floor and at OYO Restaurant, starting from 01 June 2016 until 31 August 2016. During this time, the hotel will be running a full service reception area, travel desk and concierge service from the 1st floor of the hotel. Their full buffet and hot a-la-carte breakfast menu will still be available to all guests between 06:30 – 11:00 and will be served in the Forum – their contemporary conference venue adjacent to the hotel. In room dining will also still be available and will be open 24 hours a day. Guests are more than welcome to join for lunch and dinner at the DASH Restaurant, located at their sister hotel, the Queen Victoria. The property will be going through renovation works from Weds 01 Jun 2016 until Weds 31 Aug 2016. During this period, guests may experience some noise or light disturbances, and some hotel facilities and services may not be available.
