    The historic associations of the Hotel and location. The room was a four star one and was excellent. We liked looking around the hotel and finding out more of its history. Some reviewers inaccurately reported the hotel as being a prison previously. The waterside location isn't central, but it's appealing - and it's fun cycling there! - Intelligence and kindness of the whole staff, its library, its restaurant and its affordable menus, the design and originality of each room, the facilities offered to go downtown, the view and proximity of the water.
