We had a really enjoyable stay at Ramada hotel. The room was comfortable and had amazing view over the river and town. We were really happy to get a great offer from letsbookhotel.com that includes one hour massage, the welcoming drink and the breakfast(the breakfast was the best ever, you could get all types of food and it was freshly made for us). Overall we were very happy with our stay.
all reviews » When I arrived at the Hotel by taxi the driver tried the usual trick of the trade of claiming that he did not have change for 5 ringit. The staff at the hotel handling our luggage lent me 5 ringits to resolve the problem. When we asked for an extension of the check out time it was granted. Although the room was quite outdated it was clean and beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with fresh fruit juices of choice and various choices of breakfast buffets. Staff was very attentive and kind. Walking distance to Jonker walk. You can rent bicycles at the hotel. The room was a good size, the reception staffs and concierge were very polite. The beds were comfortable. Location of the hotel was where we had our conference, so it was convenient for us. The friendliness of the staff in the club lounge, Mr Walter in the restaurant and Mr Rizali at the Concierge. Nice room view of the Malacca river and city. Great breakfast with many variety of food and dessert. Hotel is not new but comfortable. Good food. Not too far from mall. 4 euros by taxi to go to mall. My trip was more pilgrimage - (Good Friday & Easter) by foot to St Peter's church. A pleasant walk distance from the main attractions of Malacca. Very comfortab,e bed and good food. Only two points: Reception staff should be better organized, they messed up a few things and were lacking of the local knowledge. The rest of the hotel staff were very good and were always there to help us. The view from the window would be better if the widow would be cleaner. The daily newspaper delivered to the room was not in English. Bathroom was quite outdated and definitely needs complete refurbishment. The room was not cleaned and beds not made up on our 2nd and 3rd day of our stay.They did not change the towels for our 3-night stay. No newspapers were given to the room. The reception was not able to give us a discounted rate (although we were there for a conference) as we had booked through letsbookhotel.com. No free wifi in room. Hotel guest shouldn't pay for parking fees. The parking lot to and on the 3rd & 4th floor very narrow but overall its good. Service staff should check with senior hotel staff and response within 30mins if they are unsure of booking facilities request mentioned by hotel guest. Not easy to find. registration staffs were not so friendly. The temperature was too cold and the thermostat didn't really work well. Nothing. Breakfast. Bathroom hot water not hot enough. The toilet could do with some minor upgrades, having bidet by the toilet bowl. The rooms looks very old. The staff is not enough freindly. Furniture & fittings dated. Hotel undergoing renovation . A lot of noise during the day. Only one power socket to charge handphone. Internet connection very weak and breaks off easily. 1. Hotel rooms are under renovation works from 9.15am to 5.30pm. It is noisy during the said period. 2. Bathroom is quite run-down, bath tub looks old and has a lot of stains. 3. Shower head is faulty and replaced with a home-use plastic hand shower head. Taking shower using this head is a difficult task as we need one hand to hold it. 4. In the bedroom, sofa chair cushion cover is torn. 5. Room rate is considered high with the above-mentioned drawbacks. Pest control. Poor responses/responsibility from the staff. Shower system no good. I booked the rooms 3months ago and still when I checked in they didn't have connecting rooms or room or same floor.after some hassle finally managed.hotel was running full due to long weekend,service was poor,ran out of towels and the hotel needed to be more efficient when running at full capacity most definitely. The staff are arrogant and unfriendly. The rooms are dated and there were ants in the room. Requested for extra coffee and water and when the staff delivered, knocked hard on the door 2x and kept ringing the doorbell. Ask for extra bed from 2pm n keep called them at least 3 called for reminder. But the extra bed only come at 4.30pm. not comfortable experience, the breakfast is nightmare, bad service,dirty carpet. Price and service. the room was not clean the breakfast was very simple the bed sheets were torn. No breakfast included even with expensive room charge. I'm not satisfied with one of staff in front office while check in, spoiled my mood vacation...
