  We were offered free upgrade to a villa when they do not have any non-smoking room available. The place is extremely comfortable and cosy. Our room was upgraded to a suite close to Gion Hatanaka. The suite was large, quiet and comfortable. We also enjoyed the kaiseki dinner as well as Geisha show. It was marvellous. The hotel staff was professional and helpful. They could communicate in English. I wish I could stay longer.

  I arrived quite late to check in as we had come from far away. They were very helpful and showed us around while they brought our bags to the room. They had already set up our room and beds.
