Our room (205) was fantastic, it this was on the recently modernisedside of the hotel and was a superior double. The room was very spacious,and the bed was huge, and comfy. The bedroom/living area had two largewindows overlooking a small canal which was lovely. The stunningbathroom had a bath big enough for two! The restaurant and staff werebrilliant. What a great location. We will be back!!.

The location was great, close to San Marco Square. We truly loved this hotel :). The hotel was amazing. The facilty was beautiful (like staying in a private castle) and the location was prime - within walking distance to St. Mark's, the best shops, and everything in between. It was alos rather easy to get/take a water taxi to the airport and from the cruise ship. We thought the hotel was beautiful. It was like a museum but the rooms were really new and tastefully decorated. The location was incredible and the experience was overall very enjoyable. Considering the prices and quality of the hotels in Venice, this was a magic find!. The Staff was very friendly and helpful, even making reservations for usand giving itinerary suggestions. Also, our room was kept really cleanand looked out over a little canal. Breakfast was wonderful, as well. Convenient Location near San Marco Piazza; a most interesting old hotel, formerly a family home. We had to carry heavy bags...Get hotel to tell you where you should be dropped.Expense! But after all, it was central Venice!. Air conditioning was not very strong in our room.restaurant are a bit pricey but similar to others in the area. Best to walk a bit further for restaurants. Yes. One staff member on day of departure was so unhelpful as to appear disinterested in his job. Others made up for this.

Travelling information

From Marco Polo airport
with a private water taxi, which leaves from the pier ( about 10 minutes walk from the exit ) and travels directly (tide permitting) to our dock at the back of the hotel (always better to agree the fare prior to embarking) in about 30 minutes.
Taking the alilaguna shuttle service ( about 10 minutes walk from the exit ) which also travels from the airport pier and reaches ST. Mark's in about 60 minutes. From there it is a 300 metres walk to via xxii marzo, where we are.
Assisted transfer is also available; just get in touch with our concierge at least 24 hours before your arrival. He will be pleased to give you all information about cost and details. This transfer has to be paid cashonly directly to the concierge upon arrival or departure.

From Piazzale Roma (car terminal)
by private Taxi-Boat, 20 minutes about. Tide permitting directly to our private dock; take only authorized taxi, which can be recognized by a yellow stripe and a license number painted on the sides of the boat. Agree upon a fare before embarking.
Using the public Water-Bus (vaporetto) lines 1 or 82; stop ST. Mark's (calle vallaresso) at about 300 metres walk from the hotel. The trip takes about 40 minutes and the cost of the ticket is approximately 6,00 euro per person.
