    Location was the only reason we decided on this hotel and it was really worth it. We never used any transport except of tour buses - evetything is a short wack far (quays, Temple bar, the Trinity college). It is situated at O'Connell street where one can find everything he wants - tourist information, hop on buses, one day tours, airport coach, sh... what people say » opping, pubs and a lot of fast food. It was very quiet at night (I stayed previously in the Temple Bar area and the revelry at night made it impossible to sleep). Breakfast was excellent.     Staff was very friendly. Prior to my arrival I emailed the front desk about transportation from the airport -- they emailed me back immediately with the bus to take, where it drops me off, and how to get to the hotel from there. Upon checkout, I was able to leave my bags at the front desk and they provided me with a taxi to the bus station. Even better, the hop on-hop off bus - The Belvedere Hotel was close to the centre,of Dublin a couple of minutes away walk. The room was quite and very clean and breakfast enjoyable, you received a discount if booking breakfast when you arrive. Lifts available so you don't need to carry bags. We got a very good last minute deal for the night. There is a pub bar/food connected to hotel.The hotel has entertainment shows on weekends. The hotel is very closely located to entertainment, food, sight seeing attractions.

    The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. I telephoned the night before our arrival, explaining that we were on a very early morning flight. I asked if we would be able to drop off our bags at the hotel. The receptionist encouraged us to come straight to the hotel and arranged an early check-in on arrival. It is a half a block away so it made it easy to find the city bus tours and the tourism office. The beds were very comfortable which was a definite plus. They also have two guest computers that you can you use for free 24 hours a day. They were sometimes busy, but there was always a chance to use them.

    8 of us enjoyed our stay on 31st Jan at the Gresham. We arrived at the hotel at 8.30 a.m. and were able to book in and go to our rooms. It was close to great shops and cinema, taxi's werealso cheap in the area, as a taxi only cost us 8 Euro from our hotel tothe guiness factory, excellent.     They let us check in early and were very friendly. The two-bedroom was plenty of space for a group of 2 couples. The location is right by the shopping area and a short walk to Temple Bar, but far enough away that it was quiet at night. Daily housekeeping brought fresh towels, which was unexpected.     The hotel was clae and excelled on all of the above points. Myself and my daughter had dinner in the bar and the food was lovely. The level of English for one of the staff members was quite poor but another staff memeber came to the rescue. The home made chips were lovely as was the pizza. The staff were excellent post checking out as my daughter left here ring on - We had a very comfortable stay and the best lifts we have ever been in, quick and silent. Also we were able to park our car for the three days that we stayed at the hotel. Breakfasts were excellent and altogether a very pleasant stay.

    Very good hostel experiece. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and courteous. The atmosphere was congenial and collegiate among the hostellers. The individual room that I stayed was clean and comfortable. The shared bathroom/shower facilities showed some wear but were generally clean and in good condition.     Myself aged 31 and my mother of 65 years of age were looking for somewhere fairly central but away from the noise and that's just what we got! 10 minutes straight forward walk to shopping locations, Temple Bar, Central Bus Station, The LUAS and Connelly Train Station. Also the airport shuttle stops right outside the door at a cost of only 6 Euros... what people say » per person. A perfect budget location close enough to everything and away from the noise of Temple Bar! Staff were even kind enough to let us store o - We found the Ripley excellent. We stayed there initially when we arrived in Dublin, then after touring Ireland for two weeks, we stayed there again before leaving for Wales. Would not have done this if we were not happy. We arrived early in the morning at 10.00am and the reception staff checked us in and held our luggage in their store, they told us to return at 14.00 hrs and our room would be ready. When we returned at 15.00 our room was ready.
