Friendliness of the staff. Good clean rooms for a reasonable price. And the proximently of the place to downtown. I esp. liked the bus picking us up for the airport in the morning. You ought to leave word with airport info about that. -

The service and friendliness of the staff was fantastic. Particularly of Catherine, the owner. She has to be one of the most welcoming people we've met. She put a lot of effort into meeting our specific needs and conversation with her was great as well. You probably won't find much better service and care around. It is excellently located just north of the city so it is a 15 minute walk from the buzz of the night life, but located in quiet area of town.

The location was extremely convenient to major Dublin sites. It was very
quiet at night (I stayed previously in the Temple Bar area and the
revelry at night made it impossible to sleep). Breakfast was excellent.
Staff (at reception desk, dining room, and housekeeping) were friendly
and super-helpful. WiFi connection was very strong. Room was
comfortable. Area very safe. Is across the street from the Gate teater

I am very happy I stayed at the Gate Hotel, the service is wonderful, the location could not be better, I was treated with attention. It was my first time in Dublin and they explained to me how to reach to places, gave me full guidance and even helped me get the best spots for shopping. There is also an area downstairs that connects with local pubs that is very nice and you can hear live music or chill and have a beer in other pubs without having to move out of the hotel. I fully recommend it;

They let us check in early and were very friendly. The two-bedroom was plenty of space for a group of 2 couples. I found Egans to be the best possible combination of a 'chain' hotel and a private guest house. It was comfortable - especially the communal lounge area - clean, and nicely decorated, with very helpful staff. My room had everything I needed and was very good value for my 30 euros. The buffet breakfast set me up nicely for the rest of the day. O
... what people say » verall, a very handy base from which to explore Dublin, near a main road for transport, but situated in a quiet residential street. I'll be back. -
We rented a room for 5 people. It was a full size bed, and 3 twin beds crammed together in a very small room. We only stayed one night here, so being crammed together one night was no big deal. We had our own bathroom plus there was a public bathroom right outside of our door. The lady at the desk was very helpful and informative. She told us of our various options of getting into the city, which is a good distance away.
