What people say
Harrington House was a very nice place to stay at. The lady running the house were very friendly and we got a great room with an en-suite bathroom.
Good value for money, nice place, nice staff, nice breakfast, interesting to share room with people who are living there.
Very clean, staff gentle, nice breakfast. Near - 20 min walking - to the Temple Bar.
Staff were great, facilities good. Short walk into town.all reviews »
calm, near centre, clean.
The hostel is well maintained, our room (4) was clean and comfortable.
Near to one of the main entertainment areas in Dublin and a 15 minute walk from Temple Bar.
I liked the location, far enough from the noise of the city. It's a quiet hostel in a pretty location with buses running all day long just in front of it.
The location was on the edge of Dublin but within easy walking distance (15-20 minutes) to the centre of town. There were also buses and a tram nearby.
Good price and nice rooms. Comfortable.
Bus station across the street.
price.
Good location , city centre can be reached in 20 min. walk. Bags storage.
The only negative I can say about Harrington House is that the shower use to get cold very quickly - there is only warm water certain hours of the day and that gets cold quickly.
Nothing of note!.
warm water was limited, only from 6 am/pm to 10 am/pm.
The worst thing about staying here is that the hot water is only on for a limited time. 06.00-10.00 and 18.00-22.00, which in 2013 is absolutely reliculous.
We stayed wen it was cold and the heating was also inadequate.
Don't expect a true "Continental Breakfast". Toast and cornflakes with instant coffee is all that's on offer.
All in all very expensive for what it is.
I didn't like the attention, I arrived at 12 when my room was suposed to be ready and the attendant made me wait for maybe 20min. I was tired and needing my room for getting ready for my day. Didn't like the bed, the springs were pretty uncomfortable.
The shower didn't have hot water on the first morning (at 9am)
The wifi didn't work for the whole time I was there which was disappointing because it was one of the reasons I chose this hostel.
Found the staff very unaccommodating when I asked if I could have breakfast at 7:30 instead of 8. 8am is a ridiculous time to start breakfast when lots of people would rise earlier therefore the "breakfast included" was not so for me!.
It's pretty noisy. You easily hear people talk and walk.
dirty bed clothes with toesnails.
The attitude of one of the female staff members ( the older one ).
Absolutely no communication or eye contact from her which puts me off ever staying at the place again.
It is a Hostel !! I stayed in a twin room - Very Dense room and bathroom , old furniture , creaking and noisy two level beds , poor breakfast, hot water limited availability - timed by predefined schedule.
The rooms are very cool. I asked the staff to turn on the room warmer, but they did it only for a few minutes. According to her, it´s about 12C and it[s very hot for the othjers. The rest of my two days I felt so cold!
One have only 30 seconds of warm wather in the shower.
