My girlfriend and I stayed here for one month and I'm glad to say it was such an amazing stay. That staff was awesome and have helped us a lot in everything we needed. The wifi connection was perfect (even in the room), the breakfast was very nice, the rooms and beds were clean (the cleaning staff cleans the room everyday), there were a lot of activities to do (movies night/special dinner/ice cream night/pub crawl) and the most incredible thing is the location. The hostel is easy to get to from Dublin airport. We got there by coach and it took about 40minutes plus 15minutes walking time.
Lots of tourist attractions are nearby and the free walking tour each day is a great way to explore and learn the city's history
Staff were very friendly and more than happy to help with directions
Breakfast is included which was really convenient. You could also cook your own meals in the kitchen.
We loved this place! The stuff was very welcoming. Tea and coffee are available 24 hours a day. Everyday we had breakfast and at the weekends there were free pancakes which were very tasty! Kitchen was clean, the room was clean. The design of the walls was creative. We could leave our mobiles for charging on reception (we didn't have adapters for the chargers).
I eneded up staying at Times Hostel College Street (there was a problem with my booking and the Times Hostel Camden Staff found me a room in this twin hostel and solved it in a great way). The place was in great location, so handy for all. amazingly clean and silent, yet very central. staff friendly and helpful. I would onyl recommend this place.

No hot water for showers in the first night however staff let us use the communal bathroom next to reception.
The worst thing was the heating in the room! It was extremely cold especially in the morning! And hot water in the shower was over when last person was taking shower (in room for 4 persons).
Onyl thing if i have to find one: internet facilities to be improved in the pc area and wi fi in rooms.
Nothing really but if i was to be very picky there was No mat on the floor in the bathroom very slippery especially with 3people showering.
Not a negative really, but it was a bit cold outside and everyone there was so nice that we wanted to stay and hangout - almost didn't go out and see the sights!
The real negatives were thy the water pressure was terrible, shower took a while to heat up. Noisy reverberating linoleum hallways, a hall rug would make a world of difference. Mattresses were a bit lumpy and pillows were a bit hard.
it was farther from Temple Bar and O'Connell St than I thought...it took me about 15 minutes to get there... and the hostel was pretty difficult to find since it is on a small alley off the main road and the alley isn't listed on the free maps that are everywhere in Dublin.

The cheapest way to The Camden Place Hostel is on the 16A bus from the airport. It will drop you a short walk from the hostel on Camden Street.
Camden Place is a left hand turn off Camden Street, between OSullivans art store (14/15 Camden St, Dublin 2) and a Ladbrokes betting shop (16 Camden Street, Dublin 2).
€2.00 fare and you will need exact change as no change is given on Dublin buses. Journey time is approximately 50 minutes.
The express Aircoach bus provides a 24-hour coach service between Dublin Airport and Dublin city. The Aircoach bus stop is directly outside the arrival exit and you can buy a ticket directly from a representative at the airport arrivals stop or from the driver when boarding the Aircoach.
This will drop you off at Trinity College a 15-minute walk from the hostel. From Trinity walk down Dame Street and take a left on South Great Georges Street. Aungier Street is the continuation of Georges street, and Camden is a continuation from Aungier Street.
Camden Place is a left hand turn off Camden Street, between OSullivans art store (14/15 Camden St, Dublin 2) and a Ladbrokes betting shop (16 Camden Street, Dublin 2).
TAXIS:
Taxis from the airport cost around €25-€35 and take about 30 minutes depending on the time of day. During rush hour it can take up to 45-50 minutes.
FROM BUS STATION (BUSARUS):
Follow the tramline west toward OConnell Street a five-minute walk.
From there you can take a 16, 16A or 19 O'Connell Street. Get off the bus on Camden Street near OSullivans art store and Ladbrokes betting shop.
FROM HEUSTON STATION:
Take the number 92 bus to Kildare Street.Walk to the top of Kildare Street until you get to Stephens Green. Turn right and continue until you reach Grafton Street. Follow the Green around to your left and take a right onto York Street. This will bring you out onto Aungier Street. Turn left and walk for another ten minutes (Camden Street is a continuation of Aungier Street).
