  The hotel was fabulous, everything was clean and the staff were veryfriendly and helpful. Taxi's were available within minutes (receptionordered them for us and they arrived right outside the door) and it wasonly a short spin into the city centre. - The reception staff were so courteous and helpful, I could not fault anything about the hotel, well ... what people say » done and thanks to all the staff including the breakfast staff, would love to stay again.

The hotel is only a short walk from the main shopping street in Cork and the surrounding area was quiet.   I asked for all kinds of help and I was always very satisfied - this hotel has very helpful staff and excellent service delivery. I am 56 years old and this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The room we had was #4 and was beautifully decorated. Michael gave us a lift to the bus staion when we left and there was a bus stop just acrossw the street, the #202. Would highly recommend this bed and breakfast - Our host Eileen was a real gem - she made sure we had everything we needed and even offered to drop us off in the city (not sure if this is usual or not!). She supplied us with a full buffet breakfast in a beautiful dining room overlooking a garden, a lovely way to start the day. Blackrock is not right in the centre of Cork but the city is easily accessible by car (10 mins drive) or by bus - there is a bus stop right outside the accommodation.
