  We were contacted prior to arrival confirming arrival,which was a nice surprise. When we arrived we were greeted at the door . Tea and homemade scones ready upon arrival and Alacoque & Gerry made us feel very welcome. They went out of their way to make sure that we had everything we needed. They both went above and beyond the call of B&B... what people say » 's whilst giving us our space they were very accommodating. - When we actually found the place,it was tucked away in farmland. Lovely family feel about the place and the owners could not do enough for you. The breakfast was excellent.

  The hospitality from the time of arrival was second to none with a very personal touch. The room was immaculate. The breakfast next morning was as good as I have tasted in a while.   The hotel was really lovely. I couldn't get over how nice the staff were - even going to the bother of ringing up the room minutes after we checked in to make sure everything was to our liking. The shower was amazing with jets on both sides. Bed was very comfortable and the room facilities included tea making facilities. The bed was very comfortable and ensured a good night's sleep This was a stopover after returning for a holiday in the North so we would not have time to explore the Athlone. Comfortable and quiet bedroom allowing a good nights sleep. Excellent breakfast cooked to order and served till 10 o'clock which suited our late nights! Only a five minute drive into Athlone makes it a very convenient base. Would definitely recommend thhis B& B with no hesitation.

  We stayed in Radisson Blu before and this was our second trip love this hotel for its location and the fact that it is on the river Shannon, the weather was fab and we were able to avail of the barbecue which was great value for money. Will definitely stay at the Radisson the next time we visit Athlone. - Really liked the entrance..very welcoming staff, helpful/knowleagable/and the room was one of the nicest we have stayed in...food lovely and breakfast fantastic, not rushed out at noon as rugby match was on...i noticed that some guests were given breakfast in tv room to facilitate watching the Lions match...informal niceties that added to our enjoyment of our stay!(EVEN Tho the Lions lost!!)

  We travelled as 4 adults and stumbled across arch house on our way back to Dublin. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment which was fantastic. We couldn't have asked for anything better and the price was great. The apartment was a great size and had to bathrooms with a well equipped kitchen and a washer/dryer which was extremely handy.   Wanting to visit Athlon, yet wishing to be outside the town center, and The Mill Bar was perfect. The rooms while not overly large we're clean and comfortable. The owner Teresa welcomed us and provided a selection of rooms, then provide us a marvelous option for a bike ride. We ended up down a lovely Irish Lane at an out of the way Neolithic Tomb ... what people say » site which took us back over 5,000 years to read about this ancient site. Returning we cycled to the nearest village to pick up a bottle of wine, (pre - The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was meeting friends in town and they had a taxi booked for me. The rooms were very comfortable and it was just very welcoming in general.
