  The location was perfect. Nice home-feeling place to stay with a family. The lady of the house was extremely helpful and kind: she ordered us a tour plus a taxi to the airport since we wanted to save a bit time due to our early morning flight. WI-Fi was nice; with our gadgets we could plan the next day in Reykjavik. - Excellent location, friendly... what people say » and helpful owners, well equipped and comfortable apartment with much more character than the typical bland Icelandic hotel. Comfortable beds and quiet at night despite being so close to the main street. Highly recommended.

  hotel staff were excellent. beds very comfortable. rooms quiet. good breakfast. reception staff knew local products and services very well and gave excellent advice. i chose to eat at another restaurant on the saturday night rather than in the hotel mainly because of a friend's recommendation and the reception staff were only too happy to phone and... what people say » make a reservation for me. - Quiet central location, helpful staff and the unbelievable ease of booking trips/excursions.

  This apartment is perfectly placed at the end of the main shopping street in Reykjavik, however we were not troubled by noise at all. It is very clean and modern and with everything you could need for a city break (fully stocked kitchen, washing machine with drier & comfy living area) The apartment is beautifully decorated. The apartment was very spacious for a group of three friends and it was tastefully decorated. We had more than the facilities that we needed as our homebase in Iceland. We were happy to find a washing machine in our apartment. The location is very good because it's at the street towards the main commercial area of Laugavegur. Parking was also available but on a first come first served basis. It made our trip to Iceland comfortable.

  The apartments were spacious by European standards and they were ideally located near City Center. They were cleaned daily and everything worked reasonably well. The internet connection was a bit shaky at times and was a dsl line. The tv was likewise weird, having at times 150 channels, then 6! All British satellite coverage. The Kitchen was Europ... what people say » ean small but well furnished. The bedrooms were large and had 4 twin beds, combining into 2 Queens. There was a roll- out bed available as well. - Fantastic location and the apartments they have a of nice size.

We were making a first visit to the University. Innkeeper Thorri was very helpful and kind. As we walked around Reykjavik, we never saw a better value for this level of amenities and character. We love staying in historic and cultured homes like Gastafell. The 1 bedroom apartment was fully equipped and in a wonderful quiet location but literally minutes from everything. Breakfast was excellent.
