  The hotel is a small lovely house near the downtown of Reykjavik. There are some types of rooms, incl. Dormitory for 5 people, where I spent a night. For extremely reasonable price you get comfortable sleeping place with bathroom in the room and access to the kitchen, where it's possible to cook your own meal. Internet connection was good as well. - I enjoyed my short stay, as I relaxed like never before. Slept like a baby in a comfortable bad, toilets and room were clean, breakfast great (especially the croissants freshly baked!) and the staff is really friendly and nice. I would recommend it to everybody - especially in the high season!

  The kitchen areas are great. The whole facility is very clean, has good lighting, is heated well and the breakfast offered is very good. One member of the staff ( I don't recall his name, but it starts with the letter j and he's from Sweeden) was exceptionally helpful to us. He was very informative, kind and patient with us. Fantastic reviews for ... what people say » him!!! - Very nice facilities. The staff helped us to book the bus to go to airport. We had our own room and they have kitchen for cooking. In the camping site there is place for taking things that people left before returning to their countries or leave the things that you cannot carry back.

  The reception had been really nice and helpful. He recommended a transitional Icelandic restaurant to me and helped me booking tours and offered tourism advices. I love the kitchen, it's cozy, clean and open for 24 hours. During my stay, I lived in a mixed beds room and the bunk bed was very comfortable and there were two shared bathrooms next to ... what people say » my room. If I ever go to Iceland, I will stay there again. It is such a nice and warm hostel and it is highly recommended. - It was so clean, and you didn't check in, you got an email telling you how to get into the hostel / your room. I arrived at 2 am and went right in and went to sleep. It is nicely decorated and so many things to read to show you what to do. The owner called a bus for me to get me back to the airport and I saw her eating lunch with some guests - she is very nice. I felt very safe.

  EVERYTHING.....the staff was way cool, the place itself was great and in a great location,,,,,,exspecially with the cool big skull out front, it is the perfect land mark and got me home many a night...Breakfast was ok, the coffee was wonderful...the more I think about it ,I have no real complaints about the place and if I ever get the chance to go... what people say » to Iceland again will stay there.......and I will be recommending the Backpackers to all my friends and to anybody I know going to Iceland.....   If you are in Iceland - this is the place to stay !!! This is absolutely the best place one can find to stay in Reykjavik. Bang in main street, small but cosy rooms. However, the best thing about the place is the people ... VERY friendly, helping and smiling faces all around. Trikvi deserves special mention for all his help. The loft (on 4th floor... what people say » ) seems to be where the city hangs out for a casual drink in the evening... beautiful experience - The Loft Hostel was great, the location was on the main street next to a restaurant and ski shop. The atmosphere was great, made heaps friends there, which made the holiday that much better. Definitely the place I'd go back to when in Reykjavik again. The staff were awesome, so helpful and friendly.

  I loved the style, the food, the bar, the drinks, the people, the staff. Its just great. I stayed in a private room so can't comment on it as a hostel but I had a really great time.
