I think it is not easy to find such a good hotel in the center of Reykjavik. The hotel is just beside the church, very convenient, quiet and clean. Very friendly. I had a bit of a problem getting in and the owner was so apologetic & helpful that more than made up for it. He didn't charge me for that night & even offered a free dinner and a whale tour. Exceptional customer service for a minor in convenience. I would strongly recommend this guesthouse. -

Owner was very attentive & sweet. Very central location. Amazing room; lovely style, very comfortable bed, nice (& very clean!) bathroom. Breakfast was lovely, too. Nothing was too much trouble. Room is well equipped to make simple hot meals with cooker and microwave oven.

Great location, within walking distance of everything. Hallidor, the resident manager was amazing. Friendly and informative, anything we needed he provided if possible. I had a studio and it was perfect for me and my fiance'. Nice and cozy, the kitchen was fully stocked with all cookware and utensils, microwave, coffee maker, and fridge. The grocery store, Bonus, is literally at the corner and across the street. Can't wait to go back next year!!

The apartment was furnished to a very high standard throughout with good decor. Shower was very nice and spacious with plenty of hot water available. We were expecting a small "studio apartment" but we ended up with a completely separate kitchen area as well which was a welcome addition. Blackout curtains were particularly good which made sleeping much easier than at some of the other places we stayed. Plenty of free parking right outside the main door.

Everything went very smoothly - there's no one physically on reception, just a telephone to ring for details of how to get the key etc, but we had no problem arriving at midnight and there was always someone on the other end of the phone if we needed help or information.
Very accommodating letting us leave our bags somewhere for a while after check out.
Very well equipped kitchen with crockery, utensils etc. and we appreciated the fact that there was already tea and coffee available.
