  Shaun and the people who work at the Laxnes cant do enough for you. We had to change plans a number of times and nothing was too much trouble. They gave us great advice on the things to do and more importantly what not to do in terms of paying far too much for taxis and how to use the transport system. Local knowledge goes an awful long way.   While on the main shopping street, it was relatively quiet. Also within walking distance to everything within the downtown area. It had all the appliances needed to cook your own dinner or just warm up a pizza or leftovers from a local restaurant.

  The location is tremendous! I travelled with my wife and another couple. We spent 3 nights here to start our trip then rented a camper van to travel the country for a week. OK Hotel is on the best main tourist street in the city. It's just a 2-3 minute walk to all the stores, several good bars and restaurants, the main chapel, and maybe 10 mins wa... what people say » lk to the city center. That being said, we stayed out late (some bars are open until 0600) on a Saturday night and the hotel is far enough removed tha - Everything went very smoothly - there's no one physically on reception, just a telephone to ring for details of how to get the key etc, but we had no problem arriving at midnight and there was always someone on the other end of the phone if we needed help or information. Very accommodating letting us leave our bags somewhere for a while after check out. Very well equipped kitchen with crockery, utensils etc. and we appreciated the fact that there was already tea and coffee available. Excellent
