Our stay at Historik Hotel Gotisches Haus was one of our best in Europe. So much so that we stayed an extra night. The welcoming check-in by the Gentleman owner was friendly and easy and the room was beautiful and immaculate and the hotel was in a perfect location also. A perfect stay. I loved the friendliness of the hotel staff, the hours for check-in (up to 2200), the modern spacious room, the new bathroom, the location of the hotel, close to the marketplace and the garden area. The rooms were impeccably prepared. They were truly exquisite. The entire ambiance of the hotel was warm, inviting, and charming. The innkeeper pleasantly waited for us at a late check-in time and made us feel welcome. This is a very good hotel, well run and comfortable. It's in a very central location in the heart of Rothenberg. The room was very spacious and the bed linen was first class. The service was always prompt and helpful.Friendly, helpful staff; hotel provides comfortable,up to date accommodations without compromising it's 14th century character. Large rooms; great location. Highly recommend it - would go there again. Everything...friendliness of staff, great room (attic with a fabulous porch and view). A really charming hotel, in tune with this fascinating old town. Bed was extremely hard. Not very comfortable for such a nice hotel.They should tell the guests eating breakfast that eggs are available to order. It comes with the buffet, but we wouldn't have known if we hadn't seen other guests getting eggs. Then we decided to request eggs even if we had to pay for them. Thus discovering that they were included. The bathroom was nice but extremely cold inside because it had no heater. No. no shower curtain around the tub. My hotel room did not have a minibar.
